1) I legitimately thought that ONLY Randy Orton was banned from using the RKO. When I heard Rollins had used it to win, it didn't even register in my mind that it should be considered cheating until Kane said it was.
2) Cage matches are, by their nature, No-DQ, so banning the RKO really didn't do anything to the match since competitors can't be disqualified.
3) Even assuming that using the RKO when it's banned is some sort of special offense that make a DQ possible in that cage match, Rollins using it would have, at worst, gotten him disqualified, and he still would have retained the title. And since Orton is getting his rematch in a triple threat at Payback, there's really nothing else to be said about it.
I don't even really understand Kane or anyone else saying that Seth cheated.
If Seth cheated by using the RKO, then why didn't the referee end the match?
It was at the discretion of the referee to decide how to interpret the stipulation. He saw Orton hit Kane with RKO and let the match continue. He saw Seth hit Orton with the RKO and let the match continue.
it really didnt matter because the worst outcome would be Seth is DQ'd and he keeps the title anyway. I dont why it was made a big deal at the end Extreme Rules.
Can anyone remember when the only way to win a cage match was to climb out, that was it, you just needed to climb out?...
