I mean that was the reason Sting returned. He was going to fire Dolph Ziggler etc. So now that Sting has respect for HHH because he hit him in the face with a sledgehammer is Sting now OK with HHH being a tyrant?
People moaning about him going over Sting need to look at things from a different perspective. To me this wasn't WWE vs WCW this was HHH (whi is still in fantastic shape and can put on one hell of a match) against a TNA has been (who struggled on the most part)
HHH > Sting.
I know that wasn't really your point OP but f*ck it i felt like having a rant.
The only interest generated from this match was because of Sting. HHH winning was a joke, the feud itself was a joke, and this whole thing was just orchestrated to job WCW's last name to HHH, like the rest of them did.
They ignored the match fans WANTED to see, in Taker vs. Sting, and now that match is ruined. All so HHH could A) Get another win and B) Get his useless buddies a Mania paycheck for coming out and embarrassing themselves.
He didn't realise HHH was a robot until his entrance at WM, then realised there was no use, unless he could travel into the past to destroy mother Helmsley.
WWE makes it really difficult to be likeable in one breath they do something cool like Rollins winning the title then they do this horeshit and its like.....I can't be the only one who sees this shit
They scrapped the Authority vs. Vigilante storyline months ago. Sting is a heel now, working to get revenge on WWE for putting WCW out of business. Yep, I really don't understand, but hey Triple H got to win at WrestleMania so it must make sense.
Like JBL said, Sting realized he was never any good and was just a minnow swimming in an ocean of sharks. It's pretty obvious after getting destroyed at mania that JBL and Cole were right about Sting all along.
Ironically Dolph Ziggler doesn't like guys like The Rock coming in and taking "his" spot as he once put it so what does he make of the vigilante Sting coming in to "save" him but ultimately taking his spot?
Id have Ziggler turn on Sting purely for that reason. It writes itself as Ziggler has been vocal about his dissatisfaction in the past about similar incidents.
Like most i was expecting Sting to go over. But then i should have remembered Vince would have the WWE guy go over the last remnant of WCW. Plus its Triple "am i fucking going over" H :trips
Didn't you see them shake hands? It's ok they're all cool now.
Really I don't know what they were thinking. Sting fails so he shakes hands with the big bad guy who fought dirty and remains in power and then talks shit about Sting afterwards and Sting kind of just ignores it and moves on. I enjoyed the feud but the ending to the match and more so the hand shake and Sting moving on with no real comment afterwards was really odd storyline-wise.
Now that Triple H has beaten Ric Flair, Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash, Booker T, Goldberg and Sting, which former WCW "talent" is there left for him to conquer?
Lmao. I am of the unpopular opinion they will have a rematch before the end of the year. But yea, even though it is wrestling, they should have kept it kayfabe instead of the whole "Wrestlemania is bigger than both of us bro! Let's shake hands and share the moment dawg. We made this happen!" Yeah and just take the superkick after he had the match won... sure...
