Funny how people shit on the IC title and now look at who has it. Easily the most over man in the company, Daniel Bryan. It's not the title that makes the star, it's the person who has it. I was pissed that Bryan wasn't in the Main Event for the WWE title, but then I realized. They are pushing Daniel Bryan all over again. His title reign was short lived, and I think that works to all of this. He is still immensely over and now has the second most important title in the business. His scene backstage at Mania with all the Legends means something, it's foreshadowing. Daniel Bryan is a Legend in the making. Last night was his first IC title win.

I'm a long time fan of Daniel Bryan and I think it just dawned on me. You can't bury this guy no matter what, he is untouchable. His push back to the top will mean something again and this time he will have the IC title around his waist. It's going to be nice watching him come to the ring with a title around his waist, or on his shoulders because he is one of the best in the business today, and most over face in the company in my opinion. His way back to the top of the WWE mountain will be much better than his one prior. I'm glad he got injured, because I think it was a blessing in disguise, or at least an eye opener for the WWE at how popular he was and still is. They know what they have in Daniel Bryan.

I'm looking forward to his IC title reign much more than I did his WWE title reign. He's a small workrate guy which means he'll work best with other small workrate guys. People like Daniel Bryan are usually in the midcard. Daniel Bryan is going to go from feuding with Kane over the WWE title to feuding with other indy people over the IC title. He'll be putting on some of the best matches of his WWE career.

I love it. Its sad how when they had the all time credible IC Champions segment did you notice nobody from the last decade was included? That is about to change. It has been long overdue that WWE made this historic championship mean something again. It makes the whole show and product more engaging. Bryan is the perfect guy for this role and I can't wait to watch his IC title run.

Bryan vs Cena at the rumblefor the IC title.

Cena vs Bryan at Fast Lane for the US Title.

Bryan Vs Cena at Wrestlemania for the Unification bout.

His true blessing is that the fans are still white hot for him even after being demoted from the ME picture this year. He's just about the only person on that roster right now who could actually give the title relevancy again by association, but it will never happen if the WWE doesn't give his matches any time. It's a dangerous position because this angle could do irreparable damage to Bryan's momentum if it's not treated as a big deal by management,

People like to compare this to Shinsuke Nakamura in NJPW, but in NJPW they gave him many opportunities to steal the show and raise the midcard title to ME status. I don't think that Vince would let that happen in Bryan's case.

Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves, his booking since his return has been awful and their booking of the IC belt has been awful since the late 90's. Can Bryan make it great again? sure if the booking is right, if it isn't he's screwed.

I still think they gave him the belt to keep the crowd happy last night. I doubt they had any big plans for Bryan really.

If WWE is serious he can have one of the best mid-card title reigns in years leading up to a unification bout with Cena. Just off the top of my head: Bryan/Ziggler, Bryan/Sheamus, Bryan/Wyatt, Bryan/Harper, Bryan/Cesaro, Bryan/Rusev are all matches I would love to see on PPV.
