God damn how much time did HHH have on screen? Yet for some reason this WM is getting hyped over despite HHH overload. So here's my thought. Maybe you all secretly loved HHH back in 2002-06. Thats the only explanation I can think of, because this PPV was fucking awful. Terrible matches but lots of HHH.
I have never liked Triple H and last night reminded me why.
This is why Sting never came to the WWe......because his first match back was filled with run ins from Triple Hs closest friends and ultimately had Sting lose for absolutely no reason.
Do you really think fans that are like 20 years old know that much or care about the Monday Night Wars??? It isn't that important. You could have easily had the tag team match which was more entertaining on the actual card.
Yeh HHH burying young up and coming talent like sting again. I mean ffs, he wont even use it to put over guys like bryan, orton, benoit and batista to make superstars.
FFS HHH, you should of lost to a dude who wont ever wrestle again or work with any of the wwe's up and coming talent. It is obviously what you should of done! Stop putting over young talent HHH, you need to be like cena and bury all the young talent so you can put over an established part timer!!
HHH sucks! How dare he make his priority making new stars. Who is this bryan guy? He should of squashed him to make it even better when he put over sting
HHH was insufferable from 2002-04 after that he wasn't that bad with the exception of his match with Punk in 2011 and Sting last night. In what world does a legend in his debut match lose to a heel who is less over than him.

I have never hated HHH. I do feel that this was not the best booking decision. Sting should have gone over, in my view. That he didnt is testament to some still fighting that war against WCW.
HHH is one of the greatest of all time. HHH is a ring general and a master storyteller in the ring. I find all HHH matches entertaining.
Don't care of its an unpopular opinion or not.
So some IWC nerds hated him back in 2002-2006 ....why would that affect my opinion about HHH?
And not everyone hated HHH.
He got one of the biggest pop of all time back in 2002 when he returned after the injury in Madison Square Garden.
People cheered for HHH in his match against Cena at Wrestlemania 22 when HHH was a heel eventually turning him babyface in 2006.
Majority of the people loved his DX run in 2006.
Not everyone "hated" HHH. And some of the internet marks hating HHH in those years (when he was a heel) just proves how good and effective he is as a heel. He can work the 'marks' and 'smarks' alike.
HHH is one of the all-time greats. Screw the haters.
I didn't care too much about Sting's loss. It's just stupid that Sting had a plain & boring entrance while HHH had an epic one. plus they had Sting come out first and he had to stand there like an idiot waiting for HHH's 5 minutes entrance to end.
Imagine if Cena had been Sting's first opponent and defeated him at WrestleMania. At least Cena could have used the rub to benefit someone else seen as though he's a full-timer.
But I can't say I don't like the result. Triple H put people over more than enough lately. he didn't win at entire 2014 and I grown up with Triple H while I almost never watch Sting match so why I should on Sting side?
In the late 90s, people didn't like him and I thought he was just Shawn's Brutus Beefcake basically. Whether justified or not, I had people tell me he wasn't wrothwhile.
In 99-00, he was the MVP of the WWF and a GOD to the smarks. Seriously, they loved EVERYTHING he did during that time.
Then they went through a period of hating him and being bored with him and saying that he only has his spot because of who he was dating (and eventually married).
Then he went through that period where they liked him again because he had reached legend status. DX reformed and they marked for that too. But then the smarks realized that the new incarnations of DX sucked, so then they hated him. And then they hated him for holding down Punk & Bryan, then they loved him for NXT and on and on and on and on.
Zero love for me during this feud, when the match was announced, nothing. I never wanted to see this and I knew it would be the dud that it ended up being. Here's some points....
- Sting joins WWE after 15 years of avoiding them, and gets a decent response. Nowhere near where it would have been in 2001, but still, decent enough to prove he still has some name value and mystique in the tank.
- A dream match for many fans since 1998 was the Undertaker vs. Sting.
- It's understood that Sting is probably going to work 5 shows, and maybe only that one match.
- Sting is one of like two or three names left that didn't job to HHH.
- HHH always seems to find a way to get wins over everyone of name value in the last 20 years.
- Vince will never ever forget WCW. He only bought them to further bury them while making money off their name, and this was a continuation of that. The final nail in their coffin as some posters put it.
- HHH is the king of killing people's momentum. And that's exactly what he did here. The over protected finish was done because they probably want Sting vs. Taker at next year's Mania. But in typical HHH fashion, he never sees past HIS win. Yeah, you got YOUR win. But now Sting vs. Taker is ruined because Sting lost. Doesn't matter that it took 6 senior citizens and a sledgehammer to do it, the end result is L when it should have been W.
- You could go back and look at my posts from day one, I never expected Sting to win this match. I always predicted he was going to job to HHH from the moment he fucking signed with this company.
No love whatsoever for him. It was a stupid feud where HHH tried turning the crowd any chance he got, then proceeded to get his buddies Mania paychecks, while further burying WCW. Then comes out in the same show and talks about how he OWNED STING in typical HHH fashion, because he can never just win a match. He always has to bury his opponent after he wins.
It's hysterical that people think a guy with the kind of ego and mindset that HHH has, will be the savior of WWE. He doesn't understand booking in the slightest and he never did.
