Rollins isn't good enough to be World Champion

Sure he's good in ring, but so is Cesaro, Tyson Kidd and Adrian Neville. In ring ability should never matter.

He's average on the mic and he's a run of the mill cowardly heel. He's no different to the Miz, Del Rio, Rhodes, Ziggler and the countless other cowardly heels in recent years. Rollins doesn't stand out in any way, he has no character and he's not unique.

How do you go from BROCK LESNAR as World Champion to an upstart who hides behind 2 jobbers and loses all the time? The World champion needs to be credible.

It's why I think they really need to get rid of the MITB PPV. It just gives undeserving midcarders free title reigns when they aren't even ready to be champion.

No the alternative was for Brock Lesnar to retain.

Seriously are some people just totally clueless or what?

His gimmick is ''The Architect''. They booked Reigns/Lesnar to beat the shit out of each other in what was a fairly realistic brawl that even involved blood and Rollins arrived to scavenge and pick up the pieces.

''Rollins is not a credible Champion'' some of you say.

Fine. He isn't supposed to be. You are supposed to hate him because he ''stole'' the belt.

''OMG Rollins won the title from Lesnar'' No he didn't. Did you watch the match? He pinned Reigns who took a Cena-like Summerslam beating for 90% of it.

''Orton beat Rollins earlier in the night, not a very credible champion'' Again with the credible bullshit. Seth is not supposed to be Brock Lesnar, John Cena or even Roman Reigns.

Also this allows for a feud the fans are actually invested in and care about to continue post Mania with Orton having a legitimate claim on being Rollins first challenger.

And guess what? It also allows for them to restore some of this ''Legitimacy'' everyone is so worried about as Orton is an experienced Vet now and Rollins will be going over if the feud continues (And it should).

Another point i need to add in here as well, do some of you not remember the Royal Rumble?

Rollins broke Lesnars rib (kayfabe) and had John Cena beat after a phoenix splash before losing. He owned a promo segment with Paul Heyman and John Cena and just generally came out of that match looking awesome.

Has WWE done a poor job maintaining this over the last 2 months? I would say that they have however that does not mean it didn't happen to begin with.

What WWE have done in that time is build Orton as a big threat who now has a big claim on Rollins newly ''stolen'' title.

To anyone complaining now, what the fuck did you want? Lesnar to retain and not show up again until Summerslam? Reigns to go over and start feuding with Sheamus or worse yet just to bury Rollins?

WWE made the correct call last night. No doubt about it imo and as long as they go in the right direction with the continuing of the Rollins/Orton feud then they can actually get some mileage out of their WWE title storyline for the next couple of months.
Yes that's exactly what I wanted considering the Cena is the US champion and Bryan is the IC champion, would be a perfect way to elevate those titles plus Brock continues to dominate and remain undefeated until next year's WM. As it stands now, the US and IC champions are more credible than the WWE World Champion.

Look, I wouldn't even care if Rollins 'stole' the belt if he could back it up with an amazing character / mic skills, but he has none of that. Look at Edge, he backed up his cowardly heel persona with his top tier mic skills and charisma.

Anybody from Ziggler, Miz to Tyson frickin Kidd could play Rollins' role right now. The problem is he doesn't have a larger than life personality, he's like a random kid off the street.

Ambrose got me back into the WWE, but Rollins was easily the most deserving person to take the belt off Lesnar. Even more than Bryan, who had his moment last WM and was out for most of this past year.

Rollins carried the company on his back while Lesnar was gone those 4 months or so. That work he did getting Cena to re-instate the Authority was one of the TOP segments of the year, and it was all Rollins. Don't give me this shit about him being below average on the mic. This isn't NXT Rollins. He's completely evolved since getting his singles push.

He's the total package, and the real deal. Whether or not his reign is transitional, only WWE knows, but he sure as fuck is deserving. Not even a question.

Finally someone gets it. As a complete wrestler Rollins is so overrated its ridiculous. yes he's great in the ring, but he's pretty mediocre at everything else. He improved from being the worst mic worker in the business to being passable. Yet his fans rate him as one of the GOAT mic workers.

He isn't even close to being the worst mic worker in the business, and he never has been. Cesaro, whom we all know I love, is so much worse.

Re: I really LIKE Seth but ...

What the hell are you talking about? Seth looks more like a proper champion then pretty much most of the entire god damned roster; the guy has a big time aura to him.

This is laughable really.

Seth Rollins is near enough everything a smark loves, a company loves, a vince loves (give or take height). He's solid in the ring and has the weight of being an INDY GUY (0mgzzz this guy did 5 star classics bro in ROH. ROH MUTHA FUCKAS), he can work a WWE style well.

He can talk on the mic. The fact he is engaging both inside and outside the ropes plays strongly in his favour.

He looks FANTASTIC - Embodies a great physique, yet isn't jacked to high heaven and doesn't look roided up
He is over with WWE fans and smarks alike
Can present himself well in interviews both inside and outside of the WWE for WWE
Can work several ring styles well
He shows he can adapt and add elements to his character depending upon the scenario that he finds himself in

But he's not worthy of being WWE champion.

Really no pleasing people.

Re: I really LIKE Seth but ...

Are you serious right now or just trolling?
How is he less believable than The Miz? I'm afraid I'm going to need some reasoning to back up such a ridiculous claim. Rollins has fairly good muscle and is one of the best wrestlers in WWE today.

Basically the purpose of this thread was for you to say Miz is better than Rollins.

Seth Rollins is a guy who has been pushed for a year, Seth Rollins is a guy who stole the show at which was a shit Royal Rumble, Seth Rollins is the architect & an opportunist, he played the opportunist role to perfection last night, meanwhile Seth Rollins is the future, surely they weren't going to build his future tag up, but then drop him like a sack of spuds by having a failed cash in. That wouldn't of made sense and it would of damned right sucked.

People moaned and moaned about Reigns possibly being Champ, well they got there wish but some are now moaning about Rollins not being ready, Seth Rollins has main evented Raw most weeks, he stood out in a triple threat World Heavyweight Championship match at the Royal Rumble yet some say he isn't ready.

In fact he is more than ready, and makes a far better Champ than Roman Reigns.
