Watching the Hall of Fame and Rikishi being inducted and when the Uso's came out to induct Rikishi they were booed.
Then when Rikishi was calling out members of his family to acknowledge them, when he said the Uso's again they were booed. Then of course when he mentioned Roman Reigns the whole place shit on him.
Fair enough the audience don't think much of them but this is Rikishi's moment and he's paying respect to his sons/his nephew so they should at least have some respect and allow him to say that without giving into their fanboy feelings.
Did Vince McMahon come to your house and force you to watch Raw? Did he pay your network subscription and force you to watch Royal Rumble or Fast Lane? Has he forced you to attend any live events?
If he hasn't you and all the other Daniel Bryan freaks have chosen to watch his television show and not liked what he's done with it. That's it. It doesn't justify being disrespectful arseholes, if you don't like it, watch something else.
It should be an event for the friends and families of those induction. Pack the room with friends, family, employees and their people, media and celebrities and you can have a full house with an honorable, respectful crowd.
I'm not one for "etiquette" most of the time but every year the attendees to this ceremony just embarrass wrestling fans as a whole.
And enough of the "they paid their ticket" argument. It's irrelevant. Of course they CANboo. The question is whether or not these jackasses SHOULD boo and what it says about them and wrestling fans.
No, the fucking Hall of Fame isn't some prestigious event. You know what made the HOF a big deal and put it on the map? Guys like the Rock and Austin coming back to it, and getting amazing responses from the crowd. Here's how the HOF works:
Vince: *calls random wrestler who he may or may have not hated for 10 years or longer*
Wrestler: *answers*
Vince: Want to be in the HOF? Here's a legends contract.
Wrestler: Okay. *hangs up*
That's how the Hall of Fame works. That's how prestigious it is. Anyone can be in it, as long as they're either on friendly terms with Vince or Hunter, or are willing to be.
I'm not going to talk about "respect" at an event that has Randy Savage being inducted by a man he's HATED for over 20 years, simply because he's too dead to argue. What a fucking joke.
Why would you even go to HOF show if your intention is to boo anybody? Ugh, I hate wrestling fans. Why couldn't I have liked fencing or something instead?
"These imbecile" are the people who pay shows and products WWE
WWE lives of these people, they are who make WWE
People have the right to do whatever they want
I've never seen this concern with Cena
Booing at a Hall of Fame ceremony is absolutely ridiculous. Whether you like the guys or not, all of these people have sacrificed normal lives, damaged their bodies, and most have been treated like dogs at some point, all of the sake of trying to entertain us.
Wrestling fans, in general, are pretty classless. Of course they usually try to explain away their lack of class and respect, but their arguments are usually hollow. Think of the reputation that cities get for booing their own sports teams/players. It's the same thing IMO.
With all of that said, I thought they were all saying "Uce".
I agree there should be a sense of decorum at these events. There's little to no kayfabe involved, more of a celebration of a person's career. There should be no booing out of respect.
HOWEVER, the WWE should have kept these things as a closed event (rather than for profit making), and just aired it on TV. When they made it about profit over celebration, they should have anticipated the issue of disrespectful scrubs attending.
Wrestling may not be serious, but on this night which the people are being inducted feel like this is cementing all of the hard work they've done over decades, maybe the audience should just keep their mouths shut for 24 hours until wrestlemania starts.
I can see it both ways. It should be a little more respectful then a regular wrestling event. However, if the WWE honestly cared they wouldn't let regular fans in. But since the WWE would lose a nice chunk of change by not allowing fans in, they will just have to deal with it.
Rikishi wasn't booed neither where the Usos. Rikishi was over with the entire crowd the only person booed was Reigns and he joins Cena as the only person that ever gets booed in these ceremonies. people are making a big deal out of nothing.
Why is Rikishi going into the HOF? Roman Reigns and his awful RTWM family storyline is the answer.
If the fans want to boo the guy because they've had to endure weeks of garbage TV primarily because better talents were sidelined in favor of this trash then they have every right.
If this was an actual legit ceremony then yes, people should be more respectful, but it isn't.
Yeah the HOF IS a work. That is why there is always some GIMMICK to get someone that is a celebrity in that has no business at all being inducted. You can't blame fans for not taking this serious. It is an entertaining event at times though for fans as apart of WM just like Axxess. The inductees each year has something to tie into WM. It's all marketing. It all started with WM 14 when it was brought back and announced Pete Rose as being in the HOF.
Sometimes it has semblance of prestige, but it's a way to get more coin out of WM weekend. It has replaced the old Slammy Awards of the 80's.

Austin and Rock never put it on the map. It was Pete Rose shocking induction in 1998 that got media attention since he was banned from the baseball HOF. That was his credentials to get in lol.
Vince not showing up at the event makes him think fans or the media will take it more serious as not politics. Savage going in this year after Austin put pressure on him says it all.
The one thing I dislike about the HOF is some of the fans in attendance.
Some of them really do love the sound of their own voice don't they....
Just idiots trying to be clever in my opinion, They think they are smart by chanting one more match or SHOOOT!
It really winds me up.
The guy doing the WHAT chants while Johnny Ace was inducting the Bushwhackers OH MY DAYS!!!
I really wanted him to just please shut the hell up!
The entitlement of some people these days is just unreal, People truly do think they can just say and do whatever they want without consequences.
I am not a Reigns fan by any means, But at something like the HOF he isn't in character so like Cena, I have all the respect in the world for him, Because he does something I probably wouldn't last 5 minutes doing.
Fans like that don't do us any favours, they truthfully are just a bunch of gobshites, Who can not distinguish between fact and fiction.
I felt the same way when immature little shits were laughing at Jake the Snakes passionate and emotional speech. When he talked about cheating on the one he loved with many others the dumb fucks thought this was cool and cheered.
"He's having sex with lots of girls how AWESOME"
Some of these people are manchildren. But in the end I can forgive them as long as they still act like manchildren tomorrow and take over.
I mentioned this in the HOF Thread, but compare the HOF audience to the audience ten years ago, they had much greater appreciation for the stars that were inducted. The fans, in recent years, barely react to anything, even Savage's ovation felt a little lacklustre. Also booing guys like Roman Reigns or even Cena, and doing what chants is stupid and makes them look like idiots.
That's what I was thinking. Whether they were disrespectful or not, they clearly didn't care as much as one would expect from a Hall of Fame ceremony. If I were to guess, I'd say that's been the case for several years and ceremonies now. It's funny how they make sure to cheer and boo certain things like a policy but don't care about actually cheering or booing in the first place anymore, both in normal crowds and at the Hall of Fame.
