^ He's right you know. Only thing I found entertaining last night was Snoop Dogg and Hogan, Bray's excellent promo and maybe the Bryan-Ziggler match but I was more pissed off with WWE jobbing Bryan cleanly to the King Of Jobbers (no disrespect).
I have never been one to agree that often with Russo, but he is absolutely correct here. I actually convinced myself that RAW would be swinging for the fences, but instead we got a drag bunt and RAW was thrown out at first. Not a great moment in the annals of the Road to Wrestlemania.
Coming from the guy who booked David Arquette to win the WCW Title in a tag team match, I don't think he has any credibility. I thought Raw was really good.

This isn't a real WrestleMania. This year is nothing more than a prequel to next year's show. As much as I hate the fact that they are clearly mailing it in, I can understand why they'd want to save the big stuff for Cowboy Stadium. They got a tough task ahead of them next year.
Why would you understand this? They have a network to promote which only has around 500-600k paying subscribers (A significant number of which will not renew post Mania season due to a variety of different factors)
They have declining TV ratings, declining, house show attendances, they have backed the wrong horse in Roman Reigns and their current Top Draw is potentially about to leave for UFC.
:ha
You understand why they are mailing it in for one show next year? I fucking don't. They are totally incompetent.
The show was good, the ending sucked. The build to Mania this year has been pretty shit, but it's not like this anything new from WWE. I can't remember the last competent RTWM. 23? 24? The last six to seven years have been bad lol, but at this point I'd consider it their avg. booking method.
I think interestingly enough the builds started getting worse when the stadium shows got introduced. WWE sells Mania on being a spectacle more than "this match" and "that match". They want you to pay for the smoke and mirrors, the pyro, and live performances. The event itself is the draw now, which is why actual card builds are so lacking these days. At least, that's my low budget theory because this isn't new.
Pretty much everything on RAW delivered other than Stephanie being involved in the opening segment and the horrible tug o war ending over the belt, other than that it was a pretty decent RAW..with Bray Wyatt being the highlight followed by Sting.
I agreed with him until he claimed wrestling sucks now, all other places than WWE wrestling seem to be doing better than ever so I don't know what he's talking about with that statement.
This may be the first time I ever agree with Russo but this is a guy who takes any opportunity to have a dig at the WWE and he isn't saying anything new.
Same old shit coming from one of the biggest idiots in wrestling history. He's not wrong, but how can he be wrong? He's sitting on the sidelines nitpicking an awful product that everyone knows is awful. Not hard.
Actually tbf it was a decent show, just not for a go home WM show and the final segment was horrible. No surprise to see Russo jump on it though given it's what everyone is talking about.
Russo's worst stuff was still way worse than this. He makes a decent point though.
The ending to RAW was very lame considering that you had two power houses in the ring. Something more explosive should've happened. Maybe have Reigns lay out Heyman or something to make it more personal with Brock.
He loves the storylines, promos and vignettes. Russo thinks Teen Mom is a professional wrestling federation that really streamlined the process by getting rid of all that pesky, boring, "in ring action."
He has stated on many occasions that he changes the channel when wrestling matches air and that if he could book a professional wrestling company with no wrestling matches, he would.
Also, he shat so much worse stuff out for WWF, WCW and TNA! He's booked terrible, embarrassing shit in 3 separate promotions.
