It ruins the integrity of Wrestlemania. Usually a guy has to go through a lot to get to that spot. To have someone cash in at Wrestlemania I think it cheapens the value of the show. No one has ever been cashed in on at Wrestlemania, especially not a main event. My point is the match has to be a clear concise finish. That's just my opinion. It makes a lot more sense to cash in the RAW after Mania. The crowd is usually a lot better anyways and it makes a lot more sense.
I understand what you are saying about it being the main event of mania, and wanting a clean finish.. but as long as the Money in the bank has been around, people have been anticipating a Wrestlemania cash-in, and you would think eventually it HAS to happen. This year just seems like the perfect year, because they must know Roman is going to get shit on, and Rollins coming out would save the entire ending to the biggest show of the year
Yeah I think it would be great if he cashed in at Mania and saved the show but at the same time when people look back and watch it... it's going be like that was a all for nothing. Wrestlemania needs to have a satisfying ending that is clean and definitive. As much as I dislike Reigns I still think it would be wrong to do the cash in at Mania.
The way I see it is Wrestlemania is supposed to be the end of a satisfying story. No cliffhangers or sequel baiting. You save that for the night after Wrestlemania. That is when you start to develop new stories or pick up where you left off. Wrestlemania is the close of a story.
I agree that Wrestlemania should be the final chapter of the story, but WWE fucked up the whole thing by skipping a bunch of chapters with Roman Reigns..
It's all well and good to expect Wrestlemania to be the end of a chapter but, no matter what, they will be front and centre as the focal point of the show the very next night so it's not like they ever get a lot of respite.
The fact is, the issue is still pretty much resolved if Rollins cashes in. The beast gets slain, and we have a new champ. The fact that it sets up the next 3-6 months of storylines and gets everyone involved much more over is one hell of a benefit to go along with it.
-Reigns somehow gets DQ'd and doesn't win the strap, allowing him to be pushed back down to the mid card and properly rebuilt organically. (Maybe a US title feud with Rusev, who SHOULD go over Cena)
-However, he gets to "look strong" but pummeling Lesnar from behind with the belt out of frustration and getting a few parting shots in before walking out of the ring.
-Sensing Lesnar is in a weakened state, Rollins attempts to cash it in, but Lesnar (being the beast that he is) puts up a strong fight.
-As a result, we get 10 minutes of Rollins and Lesnar exchanging near-falls before Heyman screws Lesnar and allows Rollins to successfully complete the MITB cash-in.
In the end, we'll get: 1) Reigns walking out of Mania without becoming world champion, but at least "looking strong" and allowing him to be built back up at a more moderate pace. 2) 10 minute Lesnar-Rollins match with Lesnar putting someone over, 3) Rollins solidifies himself as the alpha heel by becoming the new Paul Heyman guy.
Yeah there should be no after match cash in at mania. It cheapens the rumble winner's opportunity and the main event overall. But this is todays wwe so of course they would ruin their own main event
My sources tell me that in a shocking twist Rollins will cash in at the money in the bank PPV on Roman Reigns... and fail. He will than win money in the bank again and once again cash in on the same night backstage... and lose again.
Seth Rollins is already lined up to be put in a comedy heel jobber team with Heath Slater. The name creative is thinking of going with for the team is currently "Seth Metal".
He won't cash in at Mania because they didn't let D.B. win at fast lane like they should have.
Bryan winning at Mania would have made the marks lose their minds. A cash in a few seconds later, would have put Rollins over as the GOAT heel they want him to be.
Alas.
Not sure how they are going to get the title on a super over baby face so the cash in means something.
