Is Daniel Bryan starting to lose popularity with the fans?

I was listening to this wrestling radio show a few days ago, and they made it sound like the fans are starting to turn on Daniel Bryan. They are hearing more boos at Raw etc. And I also noticed that post Royal Rumble, it seems the Daniel Bryan movement is starting to weaken. I am a Daniel Bryan fan, and I don't want to believe that the fans are turning on him now. Is this really happening? Or is it just the cities they have been in recently backing Roman Reigns?

The crowds have been absolute shit and he hasn't been booked in a way that forces casual crowd uproar. Despite that, he's still easily the most over person on the roster. His feud with Reigns just portrayed him as a loser trying to steal someone else's opportunity - and that caused a slight split (Bryan 80% Reigns 20%) in crowds comprised of children and apathetic parents.

I think fans are starting to feel defeated at this point. We are being forcefed Roman Reigns and the majority of fans don't want Reigns, but we have to either learn to like it or just suffer.

He isn't really getting booed, a handful of bitter Reigns fans that were disappointed about him being booed out of Philly are trying to counter Bryan's fans hijacking efforts, thankfully to no prevail. The others that are booing him are the people that hate basically everyone who's ever had a main event push.

THIS

Fans can only get behind a guy for so long before they give up when he is not pushed.
Its just like that guy or girl you may like and you keep asking them out but they always say no, so you just stop asking one day.
Its not that you don't like them or think they are attractive anymore, you just give up.

The WWE is always fucking with the audio a lot. Lets wait to see how it sound when DB is facing heels again and not the chosen one they want to make look strong

The fans really started to turn on him during his feud with Kane to the point where one promo he said "Now I know what it is like to be John Cena".

And yeh they turned on him again after the smarks hyjacked the rumble. There are few of us left...the old school attitude era fans. But we have a voice and our voice is often that smarks ruin wrestling

Him and Reigns are both 50-50 in terms of support during fastlane.

If you think Bryan and Reigns were ever equal in popularity then you are either really biased or completely deaf. And if you think smarks ruin wrestling then you aren't an Attitude Era fan because smarks had influence in that era too. You're more inclined to follow Vince's cartoony, corny, over the top vision of what wrestling should be.

1) He's still by far the most popular and over wrestler on the roster

2) He's still one of, if not, the biggest ratings draw(s) in the company (proof lies in what he did to Smackdown's ratings and everything we saw in the quarter hour breakdowns last year)

3) WWE was in the South the past few weeks, and they were quieter for EVERYONE on a whole

4) Wait until this Monday's RAW reaction in New Jersey and then decide if he's lost any popularity

I blame the backstage persons who are telling Daniel Bryan to start the "YES" Chant 10 times in a 20 minute match. 1-3 is enough for god's sake. It's WWE constant idea that they need to push shit down the viewers throats for it to stick that is turning the fans against Daniel Bryan. His character has no essence besides the stupid Yes chants every 2 minutes.

Yes he is. People are tired of having Daniel Bryan shoved down their throats every year.

It's time to build new stars and forget about damaged goods such as Daniel Bryan. The future belongs to the Shield and every NXT guy that was called up in the past year or will be called up soon. It's time to close the Bryan chapter. He was always a B+ player to begin with and his fans should be happy that he had his Wrestlemania moment at least.

I noticed it and pointed it out some time ago. I can't be the only one to have noticed this; I think a lot of people don't want to come forward and admit because it seems you get slammed on this board anytime you don't kiss Bryans ass (Or hate on Roman). He's definitely not getting the same reaction as he was pre surgery and a little while after he came back. I still love the guy but it's obvious the casual interest in him has waned as did in Dean Ambrose from last summer.

If you watched fastlane, he went from a mixed reaction, to a near unanimous face reaction while 90% booed Reigns, because they understood just how much Bryan did to make the match what it was. And yes, I know it takes two to have a good match, but Bryan was the man in that match, even if Reigns won.

He still gets very strong reactions, and I'm sure if he was put into a storyline where he is chasing the title, or fighting against a worthy opponent, he'd be garnering extremely strong cheers.

Right now, he's floating in upper midcard purgatory basically. Nobody's sure what his feud is or what his match is at WM, and the fact that this is the case shows just how idiotic Vince and Creative are.

He got the biggest pop of the night tonight on RAW, and he was booked right after the Jon Stewart segment (which was meant to be the drawing segment) while wrestling Harper in a meaningless match in the middle of a filler multi-man feud for the IC title.

That tells you everything there is to know about his overness.
