As stated on a recent Jim Ross podcast, JR. expressed his view that Rusev should remain undefeated until Wrestlemania 32.

Does it make more sense to keep Rusev undefeated until Wrestlemania 32?

It would definitely add more to his inevitable loss. But what would that do to the U.S. Title? Make the belt better or worse?

Rusev could have new title feuds with Ambrose, Ziggler, and Orton(he will turn sometime soon) as well as renew the one that never finished with Ryback. That is plenty to keep him busy for awhile. Hell Bryan and he could even run into each other.

It certainly can't do anything but help that belt. Which was floundering before Rusev won it but now has more cred than the IC title. I just hope whoever gets the first pin or submission on him is a like young up and coming talent. (But a different person than who beats Brock.) That way his run can help three people. Rusev, Lana, and the person who eventually breaks the streak.

Might as well have him win the WWE title while at it. If WWE is really so hell bent on sacrificing things to create a wrestlemania moment to make someone "the guy", than making 2015 the year of Rusev is no big thing.

That is if Roman fails in all this of course. If he doesn't than Rusev ain't going to be undefeated for much longer.

Wew, let's do everything for Reigns. Let brock end the Streak so he can lose to Reigns a year laetr. Let Rusev stay undefeated. Now who do yo think would be the one guy to beat him? It wont be Cena if he beats him twice in a row. Rusev vs Reigns at next Mania with neither man having lost in over a year. If they took JR's suggestion this could actually happen.

I think waiting too long could actually be a problem because Rusev and Lana are really fucking over. It might not be long before they become too over to boo. I'm already at that point. I like them too much to boo them. They're too good.

I think by next Wrestlemania you'd have the problem that people would be behind Rusev and not his opponent. Now is the time, I think. And I think there's no shame in him losing to Cena. And it frees him up to enter the world title scene and it keeps Cena, the new US champion, the fuck away from the main event scene.

Now is the time.

Rusev should have a long streak & be setup as THE Superheel to overcome, he's only held US title since November so, come WM31, he'd have been champ for 146days before facing Cena. Cena's already won last 2 WM's, winning title off Rock & nearly ruining Wyatt's builtup heel heat so why should Cena wreck a Superheel with as big heat as Wyatt had just for him to be a US champ when Cena hasn't had any care for the US title in over a decade.
JR's idea makes sense because seems set in stone that Vince wants a whole firework display of rockets rammed up Reigns to defeat Lesnar and be WWEWHC.
Reigns/Rusev would maintain solid title-runs parallel to each other and their inevitable clash at WM32 would mirror Hogan/Warrior being SuperHeel v SuperFace and, if Reigns did win, he would be hopefully 'over' in Vince's eyes having beaten Lesnar then Rusev back to back WMs.
Personally I'd hate to see Rusev fed to further boost Reigns but that's how would/could turnout

I would have Rusev remain undefeated until the night after Wrestlemania 31. I'd have Cena cost him the US Title in some fashion in an effort to debut and push Adrian Neville. There are different ways to do it but I think it would be a different way to get the title of Rusev and get one more match against Cena and then they can both move on. It allows Rusev to lose his mind and it adds more fuel to the fire in his fued with Cena and it allows him to have a fued with someone that has more depth and meaning than just the whole Russia vs. USA thing.

The most important thing with Rusev isn't when he finally loses, it's what happens to him after he loses. Also when Rusev loses there should be a stipulation that when Rusev loses that he must eat a double bacon cheeseburger standing infront of the American flag with "Living in America" playing while Lana is wearing a bikini holding a shotgun...USA! USA! USA!

There are two possible outcomes:

1. Cena needed a new opponent to "overcome the odds" against. Rusev then will become a comedy jobber and future endeavored shortly after.

2. Rusev will establish himself further by beating either Cena at WM, or losing but winning a 3rd and final match with Cena, and move on towards a WWE title push.

I believe if he survives the Cena feud that he will eventually win the WWE title. Brock is leaving, Orton probably won't get a title reign any time soon, Sheamus won't either. So if they want to put the title on a heel, all they'll have is Seth Rollins. I think they'll add Rusev to the mix as another top heel.

The biggest flaw in my theory is what happened with Cesaro though. Vince didn't like him because he's foreign. So why would he like Rusev? And yet, as Cole said, Rusev beat Cena via submission. That never happens. So maybe Rusev is a rare foreign exception for whatever reason.

I don't think they should wait another year to have someone beat him. He should beat Cena at WM (if that is who he's fighting), and have someone beat him at Summer Slam or something. Then, if they play their cards right, they can turn him/Lana face.

Keep the streak alive against Cena than debut Sami Zayne the night after WM and put him straight in that feud, it's the perfect way to debut him!
