Shield would've been nothing without Ambrose

It was cm punks idea to make the shield, it was Ambrose's edginess and crazy mic skills that made shield look badass. And wwe shoved roman reigns in it and made it all about him. While ambrose was kicked back to midcard, it makes me think of what Vince once said to Bret, 'I chew you up and then spit it' he used ambrose to put over the shield and then buried him while giving all the attention to Roman reigns. Ambrose has been screwed.

The Shield was as successful as it was because all three members (yes even Reigns), brought a certain dynamic to the table that made the group as complete as it was.

You had Reigns in the quiet big guy enforcer role, Ambrose as the voice; and Rollins as the brawler and guy who wowed the crowd with amazing moves.

They all were great, each one of them had a nice character, but my favorite one was Ambrose.

So no, it's not only about Ambrose.

Ambrose = workhorse/mic guy
Rollins = the spot guy
Reigns = the quiet muscle

The shield worked because the stable composition was perfect, one guy to talk and get in the ring for awhile, one guy to do crowd wowing spots and the final guy to bring the power and deliver a coup de grace to end a match. Each of them played off of each other's strengths which in turn helped to hide the weaknesses of the individual members.

What? Ambrose as the workhorse? It was Rollins having the great singles matches when the Shield were together. The one with Cena on SD and the Raw one with DB comes to mind. I don't get how you'd have Ambrose as the workhorse at all, I think it's pretty silly to have him as simply the spot guy when he's the one who was having the best singles matches in the group as well.

The Shield were great then SS happened. Instead of being 3 equals that relied on teamwork it changed. It used to be 2 guys holding onto legs and the 3rd beating the guy down but it turned into 2 guys getting tossed aside which led to a spear.

Bullshit.

All three were important and made The Shield what it was due to their individual talents. Put Ambrose, Rollins & Reigns together in a blender, you have THE perfect pro wrestler.

Without Ambrose, there wouldn't have been as a good of a foundation on promos. Without Reigns, The Shield would've just been some indy guys. And without Rollins, we would've had a bootleg version of The Outsiders.

This is so far from the truth its not even funny. Ambrose had the mic ability and personality, Rollins was the ring general and Reigns was the enforcer and had the presence.

If the Shield was all about Ambrose they would have been more like the Wyatts.

I'm glad most people in this thread, some of which who hate Reigns, acknowledge the powerful chemistry the team had as a unit. They may have been THE most cohesive unit of all time. Yes, even more so than the original NWO. Better is debatable, but in terms of working together, I've never seen anything like it from people who aren't actually related.

Ambrose-Hype man, face in peril
Rollins-Exciting high flying and technical wrestling
Reigns-Clean up man, badass enforcer

They couldn't have done this with Kassius Ohno's fat ass. They would've been jobbing to the Usos within months.

Ambrose was the mouth piece of the Sheild, Reigns was the muscle and Rollins was well the best wrestler out of the trio. They all had their roles. It sucks that they gave Dean the top spot when Reigns got hurt and took it away once he came back.

If they didnt try to make Ambrose such a comedy piece I think his character would be a lot better. But they are trying to do with him what they did with Steve Austin when he got hurt in 2000.

It started off all about Reigns and Ambrose and slowly but surely the cream started to rise to the top and that was Rollins.

Despite my indifference to Reigns The Shield is arguably my favourite ever faction and i have been watching WWE since the early 90's. They all brought something different to the table. Ambrose the mic work, Rollins basically built up the matches and Reigns came in at the end with his explosive moves to pick up the win.

To completely disregard the other two (Rollins and Reigns) is not only emabrrassing but disrespectful.

For me Rollins has always been the best in The Shield but i would never downplay the others 2 significance.
