Why Do you like him? I personally think he's boring and has 0 in-ring skills. Kicking does not = Good in-ring skills.
I think that the yes chants are annoying and his promos are boring and a waste of space.
The majority of these Bryan hate threads have been made by users that made their accounts in the last month. There has to be a way to stifle new users from making threads.
Bryan hate thread....wow. Opinion=Hate in your eyes for some reason. I can't voice my opinion? I'm trying to see why people like him. If you think i'm bashing him that's fine because i sort of am, but i'm pretty sure i'm allowed to ask a damn question.
I liked Bryan when he was a heel...he was my favorite heel during that period. Loved him in Team Hell No. Loved it when he beat Cena clean. Then the whole "YES movement" happened. It wasn't anything Bryan did himself, it was a combination of his irritating die hard fans and the fact that this guy went from comedic heel to the passionate underdog who always overcomes the odds overnight.
/sigh. No. Bryan went from being the weak link in Hell No to the guy that kept getting beat down and doubted himself over and over. It wasnt until he cleanly tapped out face Orton on raw with a kendostick/yes lock that he started overcoming the odds. And he is a passionate underdog, because unlike Cena, who portrays an underdog while really is the most over pushed protected star in history, and unlike Punk, who was given the world and still bitched about it, this guy really IS shat on,
I actually don't mind Bryan, I just don't like his fans, they want him to win every fucking match, main event every fucking PPV, that attitude makes me dislike him.
I like him because he seems like a genuine and kind hearted dude who worked his ass off to get to the top. He overcame every obstacle put in front of him and I find his matches to be exciting to watch.
EDIT: Btw when did Bryan beat Cena clean? I "took a break" for a while.
Bryan beat Cena (somewhat) clean at Summerslam '13. Cena had an injured elbow and the promos leading to the match made sure you didn't forget it, but it was the cleanest Cena put over someone (except for The Rock) in many years.
People talk about how awesome he was before WWE, but that doesn't make him good now. All his moves are kicks except a knee, hurricanrana and a headbutt.
He's really short.
He doesn't have a good look. Maybe if he tidied up his beard and shaggy hair then he would.
He isn't charismatic like a Reigns, Rock or Austin.
His Yes chants are annoying and childish.
His promos are all the same, boring and only gets reactions if he teases a retirement.
I do like that he does take good bumps, so I give him props for that.
Well that is just untrue, Reigns doesn't have any charisma.
I mean if he had some then his promos on cartoon stuff would be funny like if The Rock(which he actually did a lot) done them.
In the end people like superstars for their own reasons and don't have to justify why to anyone and they should have to defend why either. That's partly why I signed up with the NonIWC name because it's a NonIWC way to think as IWC believe that they know who should be liked and who shouldn't.
I understand this is a hate thread, but either way, I should set the record straight on my feelings about Daniel Bryan.
I'm not a mark for Daniel Bryan. I am though a strong supporter of him. He's an inoffensive option for top guy not named John Cena. He's a great in-ring performer, if nothing else and has a lot of social philosophy that I share (should be more part of his character).
I've never been passionate about Daniel Bryan. But I support him, in addition to what I already mentioned, because he represents an idea that is good for the WWE. Guys who ACTUALLY grab the brass ring by getting over with the audience. I support him because he's the antithesis of someone like Roman Reigns. Talentless, manufactured. He and Belee Bella represent two divergent scenarios for wrestling in the near future. One dictated by the viewership and one dictated to us by the WWE.
On some level, I wish someone else could be in Bryan's position. He doesn't interest me on character alone. But again, I support him because he's not insulting to watch and I am 100% behind the fan-run version of wrestling that he's somehow come to represent.
I like and dislike him for different reasons. He's my second favorite wrestler.
Pros:
Great ring work, even if he only really does kicks and dives now
Unrivaled fan support
Mainstream appeal (to an extent)
Popular catchphrase that will long outlast him, much like the "What?" chants
Cons:
Midget
Overpushed in relation to his size
Could be having better matches as a midcarder against people like Tyson Kidd and Cesaro
He's not one of my favourites or anything but I like him because he worked his ass off to get to where he is, has amazing in ring skills, cuts good promos, and gets great reactions. Also seems like a really chill guy in real life (I'm a huge Punk fan but he's generally a dick.)
My friend then one day comes to my place and decides to show me some Ring of Honor. I see guys like Bryan, McGuinness & KENTA wrestling there.
I am honest when I tell you, when I saw the Bryan vs. KENTA match from GBHV for the first time, I became a lifelong fan of The American Dragon. His charisma is just so unique, I can't really even explain it. When I was watching the match and saw him for the first time, I just couldn't help but love the guy. When he made his entrance "The Final Countdown", you could tell that this man is "the man". Everything he does is just brilliant. He is one of the most captivating pro wrestling performers I've ever seen.
And I still think he is the damn best pro wrestler in the world.
what unique charisma? that shouting yes yes is what little kid do when he recieve his birthday gift?
sadly wrestling is not edgy anymore. its gone from
this
ass kicking anti corporate guy feuding with mcmahon
to this
in the end daniel bryan is terrible. dean ambrose should be next guy
I actually don't mind Bryan, I just don't like his fans, they want him to win every fucking match, main event every fucking PPV, that attitude makes me dislike him.

Its like they want Bryan to be the Último Dragón, winning all the matches and holding all the WWE titles. It makes it boring.
Also, his run. He was given two VERY short title runs (stupid strippng by HHH and all that) then his last run where he was seriously injured. I feel sorry for him of course that he did not get a proper run with the title but I feel other people do deserve a run and we do not deserve to see a repeat of last year.
About him, to me he is a above-average guy (at this point I would say he better than Reigns) in the WWE. There is nothing truely special about him, in or out, of the ring and all he uses is the fans and the chant to get momentum going. But other than that? There isnt that "flare" (woooo) so to speak.
That being said, the interview that he did on RAW left a bad taste in my mouth as I thought he had more class than shitting on a guy (Reigns) that has no fault of what is happening.
I also do not like that I believe everything bad from the fans happening to Reigns is because of Bryan. If Bryan was not in the picture, this would not be happening to Reigns.
I think Bryan should support Reigns push, in and out of the ring. Bryan has his moment sadly it came to a end and thats it. Let your coworker have now the chance.
I praise the guy the ground works on, and he's my all time favorite second pro-wrestler and a huge inspiration to me.
Why? Well, I was introduced to the guy when I tuned into ROH after looking up more things about CM Punk when he was first shown in ECW. I remember seeing Daniel Bryan and I was like "This guy looks like a dick." but I still watched him. He was amazing to watch. He was just a good entertaining guy.
I just kept following his career and watching him continuously do new things in these companies he keep going through, and he really is the define underdog. Not that big, not much of a "I'M A REALLY BIG CHARACTER" like Rock or Stone Cold. He was a pro-wrestler, but still a unique character because of his ability. And he was always humble. That's what also made him stand out. Even as a heel, he just seemed like a great guy. He was pretty much the pro-wrestling beast, American Dragon.
Keep watching the guy go through NXT, get treated like shit there, come back out for SUmmerslam and the crowd LOVES this guy. They know. He just keeps pulling off amazing work, the crowd keeps going for the guy. They try to bury him with that WM match against Sheamus and he still stays over. You can't say "It's because of the chant." It's not. He's been over before the chant.
He just screams, I love what I do and that is pro-wrestling. I don't give a fuck about his mic skills, because he seems realistic. He doesn't even seem like he's playing a fictional character at this point like Reigns does. He seems like he's at the point of Lesnar and Hogan, two people who I think come out pretty much being their inner selves. He's Daniel Bryan, he's a genuine good guy and he seriously does put in the work for everything he's accomplished.
As for "all he does is____" that's a WWE limited move-set. You know damn well they limit the movesets of wrestlers and give them two "holy shit" moves they can use on every occasion. It's been like that for every top guy. DEFINITELY including Stone Cold and The Rock.
I like him because he showed that he was the true Best In The World last year and I'm sure that he will show us again(Now he has to be at the level of Rollins or Nakamura; pretty sure he will).
His promos come from the heart and usually tells the truth; his in ring quality is the best(What other guy had a good match against Kane during last year? With no stipulations, sure)
So I can't stand the people who do not like Daniel Bryan.
I suppose that the people who hate the YES chant think that the WHAT chant is shit too, right?
Bryan is the most over superstar since Austin/Rock(I'm counting anyone between 2001-2013)
And he is one of the nicest, if not the most, in the roster/company.
I don't like him from a gimmick standpoint; the incessant grinning, monkeying down to the ring, and the Yes chants really annoy me. He was much more enjoyable to watch during Team Hell No! and months prior. That somewhat heel gimmick was funny as hell . That's about it really. More power to those who like him and his success though.
Saw it said best the other day. He makes pro wrestling feel real again. When he makes contact it looks like he murders guys and every moment looks so important to him.
