While the WrestleMania 31 main event match pitting Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is set in stone and not changing, there's at least been some talk of the possibility of Reigns turning heel and if Lesnar signs a new deal with the company, they could attempt a double turn and extend the feud.
Goldust vs. Stardust is a possibility for WrestleMania 31 but it depends on how the card looks when it's all filled out.
Although there has been some talk of it, it appears as though NXT won't have a presence at WrestleMania outside of the norm after all.
WWE and Tapout are apparently close to announcing a deal to partner up for pro wrestling clothing. Tapout, you may remember, is a former UFC sponsor.
Mickie James made a surprise return to TNA for tapings in Glasgow but it's not expected that she'll be back full time.
What's the hesitation with this Rhodes feud every year, if Goldust really is rumoured to be off after Mania it's the perfect send off, and it doesn't just leave Cody in fucking obscurity when Goldust is suddenly gone.
It doesn't even have to be a personal feud, just let them have a moment where Goldust tells everybody that he is hanging up the boots and would be honoured to have his final match with Stardust. That gives them two options.
A. Keep Cody as Stardust and treat the match as a "passing of the torch" so that it makes sense that Cody is still doing this gimmick.
B. Have Cody do a heel turn to either win the match, or after the match so that he may revert back to Cody Rhodes. Symbolised by him wiping away the face paint.
As for Reigns and Lesnar, a heel turn is realistically the best bet for Reigns at the moment, turn the boos into a positive and run with it.
If Lesnar signs a new deal then what's the point of putting Reigns over?
There is no point anyway given that the fans just don't give a shit about him. You saw on Smackdown half the people couldn't even be bothered to boo him.
I'd enjoy seeing a Lesnar face run if we got matches with Rusev (At Summerslam maybe?) and heel Sheamus (Just for the physicality of the match, could be a classic) Maybe even Bray Wyatt too.
I think Lesnar is proving now too he can speak for himself. Sure he's not good on the mic but he can get away with it by speaking a few lines and just looking like a beast.
Obviously the title not being on the show for months at a time is still an issue but the fans are used to it now.
Just pair Reigns up w/Heyman if you go through with this heel turn and let him be the Intercontinental champion after Mania or something :shrug
Nobody wants to see him as the WWE champion face or heel. It's as simple as that. Not yet.
I get the hate about Reigns, but people have been calling for the WWE to push new guys for years and they're finally starting to do that. It might not be the guy we want it to be, but still.
If they re-sign Lesnar, this gives more incentive for him to beat Reigns at WM while Rollins cashes in. The summer could be about Reigns/Lesnar chasing the title.
At Fast Lane, the main event should be Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE WHC. During the match, Roman Reigns interferes and attacks Lesnar while Rollins is down after an F5, causing a DQ. Lesnar begins fighting back until Heyman comes in from behind and hits him with a steel chair. Lesnar turns around and gives the death stare to Heyman in shock. He gets Heyman up on his shoulders for an F5 but Reigns saves him and spears Lesnar. Roman Reigns is the new Paul Heyman guy and this causes a double-turn. At Wrestlemania 31, we have a heel Reigns vs face Lesnar for the title and Reigns wins in a very close contest. As he lays on the mat in a pile of his own sweat and blood, Heyman hands him the title.
Then Rollins' music hits. Heyman and Reigns stare in disbelief as Rollins cashes in his MITB contract in revenge for Fast Lane. Reigns slowly gets up and Rollins begins the attack. Curb stomp, pin, new champion. Crowd goes wild. Face turn for Rollins and begins a feud between Reigns and Rollins.
If Brock resigns, a double turn would be the way to go. Heyman turns on Brock and we're not subjected to any more Reigns promos while he's running with the title.
Sure, a lot of people say Brock needs Heyman as a mouthpiece. I disagree. Whenever Brock grabs a mic, you know some epic shit is about to go down. 2 or 3 sentences from him mean more than a 15 minute promo from anyone else.
Brock as a face would open up fresh feuds too. Bray and Rusev come to mind.
Lesnar's good as gone after the Rumble. If you ask me have Reigns win the match at Wrestlemania and have Rollins cash in at the end of Wrestlemania and win the belt.
Wait what? Since when do UFC fighters get paid more than WWE stars? Last numbers I heard were less than a million per fight and UFC fighters rarely fight more than 3 times a year. If Brock's getting paid 5 million by WWE, then UFC can't even begin to match that. Especially since Brock's gonna lose almost immediately and further kill his UFC drawing power.
