It was said this week by a WWE source that no matter how hard the fans rally for Daniel Bryan and no matter how much he gets over, top WWE officials are not going to see him as a top guy that can be the face of the company.
Before the news came out this week that WWE was planning on doing Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler at WrestleMania 31, there was a feeling among many that officials would not give in like they did last year and Bryan wouldn't be getting pushed to the WrestleMania main event again.
With that said, there was a rumor that Ziggler vs. Bryan could open WrestleMania 31
They should both go to another company like NJPW or something. Steal the show and make another company MONEY would really stick it to WWE. WWE doesn't deserve either one of them with their current mindset.
So they are saying that no matter how good you are or how over you are, we will not treat you like a star unless WE like you. On the other hand, no matter how bad the fans react to you, no matter how bad you are on the mic or in the ring, if WE like you, you are being pushed to the moon no matter what. Fucking hell.
What makes it worse is what makes them like you is having DA Look or connections (or both) instead of what SHOULD matter like, I don't know, being able to talk and wrestle, or a word Vince has forgotten in his old age, TALENT.
What bothers me is that Vince has the nerve to talk about people not grabbing the brass ring. How can they when the only 2 WWE has have already been handed to Cena and Reigns, and are non-returnable?

in theory we shouldn't even be accepting this ziggler / bryan match if we're serious about sending a message, this is what the WWE WANTS us to do. it's nothing more than a divergence to quell the boos in the coming weeks. the match would be great for all the wrong reasons.
The WWE (or should I say Vince) really doesn't get it does he? :maury
I will be happy with Bryan/Ziggler if it is given the time it deserves, and if it opens the show, even better, b/c it will give the audience all kinds of time to show the WWE how wrong they are about Bryan's placement on the card.
I will be happy with getting to see the match, but if Vince thinks that giving us that match will pacify the Anti-Reigns sentiment or fans shitting on the show, well like I said above he really doesn't get it does he :lol
In a way it means whatever derogatory term you like to use for the MAJORITY of the fanbase that are Bryan fans "win", they get a great match and they still get to shit on WM.
What a nonsense news report. Anyone could make this up. We know WWE doesn't view Bryan as a top guy. We know there's a chance Bryan/Ziggler would open up the show if it's on. Next.
if it is true, I wouldn't be surprised to be honest if they did stick them on first and give them 10 minutes just for Vince to stick his middle finger towards his audience for messing up another rumble. I'm going to love the shitfest his main events will get. WWE can't be this stupid, I be utterly amazed if this is true though they done some messed up things but stinking their most over guy in the opening match wouldn't be too smart.
Bryan should be treated like a big deal, he is their 2nd biggest star after all . Sorry but without D Bryan in a high-profile feud I'm downloading, not buying Wrestlemania. Wrestlemania is the show where the workhorses really shine having long matches, and if I hear from officials Bryan countain-jerking with Ziggler in a shitty 12 minutes opener I'm simply not buying the Show. It's their choice if they want to make bad business however.
Also Wyatt, dude threw Bryan over the top rope and pinned Cena and Reigns in the past. He needs a big storyline too.
WWE without pushing the right guys is kinda useless IMHO.

The WWE, the only company in the world where they don't want their employees to succeed
