- WWE officials have a new rule that talent & office workers and talent & production people are not allowed to date. The company does not want staff and talent interacting past the professional level.
Personally, I don't want to know about the talent's relationship statuses. But I personally feel this is a shallow and hypocritical move. Triple H is married to fucking bosses daughter. The Bellas are shacking up with Daniel Bryan and John Cena. Come on, If people want to date within the company, for heavens sake, let them.
It's not really stupid. If you think about it, it's a basic HR move designed to prevent favoritism and anything that comes with it. The problem is they've waited too long to do it. This should have been in effect when they became a public traded company.
The Bella's, John Cena and Daniel Bryan are all wrestlers. That isn't a case of Talent dating staff or talent dating office workers. Neither is Rusev/Lana or even really Renee/Ambrose if it is true (that last one might be but they are both on screen roles. So I would consider them both performers. Don't know if WWE does though.) You are right about Triple H and Stephanie of course. While both heads of the company now obviously when they first got together it was talent dating staff.
Truthfully companies a lot smaller than them have rules about workers dating management, which is basically what that is. There are arguments for and against it but I have seen MANY cases of lower workers dating higher ups and it almost always ends with bullshit, people gossiping, ugly breakups that divide at least some workers, and often someone quitting or getting fired. So I can see the point.
And while some are critical of it on here. Plenty of us would be saying someone "slept to get their spot" if we heard a wrestler was dating someone in WWE management. Which the people in WWE would also. So again, can see the reason. Although if I worked for WWE the Hippocracy they would be saying that in a company largely run by Trips and Stephanie would not be lost on me.

Yep, read it right. The thing is since the talent are "independent contractors", a thing which WWE does to make things more beneficial to themselves (such as providing no health insurance, etc.) WWE technically can't enforce this against a wrestler. They could however probably punish the office or production staff. I doubt any wrestler is going to pay much attention to it.
this is so dumb. everyone already knows about the total divas relationships and the rusev/lana, ambrose/renee relationship. People are going to date who they want to date. This is ridiculous
This cannot be simpler jesus christ half this thread is people enforcing the wrestling fans are uneducated, devoid of social skills/real world experience basement dwelling idiots stereotype. Learn to fucking read!
