- There was a pitch within WWE, and on social media, to have ECW Original The Blue Meanie be a surprise entrant in the 30-man Royal Rumble main event on Sunday but that obviously didn’t happen.
The idea behind the pitch was that Meanie would have received a good pop from the Philadelphia crowd and for new fans, it would have been a way to re-introduce him because Meanie and bWo partner Stevie Richards are hosting the upcoming ECW Unreleased DVD.
Tommy Dreamer’s name also came up as a possible surprise entrant because he’s local but Bubba Ray Dudley was the only former ECW guy officials wanted to bring back. It was said that officials didn’t want more than 1 or 2 ECW guys because they feel that nobody cares about ECW anymore.
Someone find that motherfucker and kick him out, what kind of company is this? Do they even know anything about wrestling? It's like 90 % of the people in the back are out of touch.
What..? Did I just read that right? I don't believe it...this...this company is beyond help. I can't sit here and read that over with a straight face. It's the case with Daniel Bryan and the yes chants all over again. Vince isn't out of touch and needs to be in a retirement home, he's insane and needs to be in an insane asylum in a straight jacket far, far away from any asset of the WWE. Because remember folks in his world..
"Only the chant is over, not the product that created the chant."
Yes no one cares about ECW, but we were all waiting with baited breath for the return of the Boogeyman. The BWO would've blown the roof off fuck you Vince.
Send Stevie and The Meanie to NXT where Blue Pants can join the BWO, and print that money you old fool.
From what I understand. TNA pays most of their talent on a per show basis. Unless you are making the "big bucks" there ala Angle Hardy Lashley MVP etc.
Dreamer would have been awesome. Would have marked for even a Simon Dean return. Classic
There were numerous ECW Chants in the crowd at the Royal Rumble Match by the Phili crowd. Yet "nobody cares about ECW anymore." Fucking idiots in this company.
Lol, I'm sure PWMania.Com spoke to someone in WWE who fed them that "nobody cares about ECW anymore". The point is, it's 2015, and having multiple ECW guys in the Rumble match would have been stupid. People need to let go of the past. Ray was a good surprise since he fit the mold and still has a lot to offer. I'd rather Boogeyman than Blue Meanie at this point because they would have fit the same purpose.
:jbl "What's that blue fat fuck doing back here, Maggle?!"
