"Hey Paul, Roman numerals aren't cool with the kids anymore. What is?"
"Uh...twitter, Facebook, video games, music..."
"Music huh? Would they like Freddy and the Dreamers to perform at Wrestlemania? Or maybe Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs?"
"They were popular in the 50s and 60s dad. They like artists such as L'il Wayne or Nicki Minaj."
"Is that L'il guy related to Rock or something?"
"Wayne, dad. Not Dwayne."
"This is too complicated. You said video games right? Space Invaders is still popular right?"
"Not in about 40 years dad."
"Well god damnit, what's popular in video games then?!"
"Well, most kids are fans of Playstation 4 or..."
"PERFECT! Tell me about this Gamestation..."
"PLAYstation..."
"Yeah right sure, do we have one?"
"Yeah, I was playing it over lunch, come take a look."
"Huh, this controller is the damndest thing...how do you even hold it?"
"Its not a gun, dad, stop aiming it at the TV."
"Fine, fine. What are these little things with the icons on them?"
"Buttons..."
"There's a little box...a circle...hmmm, and a little triangle..."
"Yeah, you push them in game and they do certain things."
"Well maybe we take one of these symbols, kinda rebrand it and make it our own!"
"What do you mean?"
"Well Wrestlemania needs an update. What if we take this triangle, turn it on its side to be more oblong, and make this the number for Wrestlemania?"
"Dad, that's a terrible idea..."
"No wait, when we put it on its side, its like a little play button! That's it! Play, like on VCRs! And now its also this little triangle for Gamestation! How can anyone not make the connection, its genius! VCRs are still popular, right...?"
"Dad, we've been using DVD players for over a decade..."
"DVD...Death Valley Driver?"
"I quit."
And that's how this idea was born.
