WWE Not the Same without The Undertaker

On the WWE Network (no I haven't canceled my subscription lol) and man, watching 2007 Royal Rumble, Undertaker's pop was incredible. I think WWE misses this guy so much, he was universally liked. He could main event any match even without it being a title match. How would WWE be different if Taker was here (and healthy/continued in his prime?)

Completely agree :)

I remember I couldn't watch the 07 Rumble because I had to get up for school and here it was on at like 1am so I recorded it eagerly aticipating watching it when I returned home
As soon as I got to school, everyone was talking about how Undertaker returned and won the Rumble....I was so happy and pissed at the same time :lol

What as much as I love The Undertaker I think is time for him to hang up the boots I mean he can't barely walk to the ring his body is too banged up he's fragile at this point of his career he legit passed out after that match with Lesnar. He should have his last match and then HoF induction while he still can walk on his own. He's always going to be remember his legacy will never die he's up there with warrior Hogan the rock Austin HBK. He needs to call it quits after this WM before he ends on a wheel chair.

The Undertaker, imo, is THE greatest wrestler of all time. There is no one in the main roster that can match his unique and awesome presence. I truly miss the guy. He is my all-time favorite that he's never ever going to be forgotten. I feel honored growing and watching him compete all these years.

He is so special that even with a poor opponent, he still makes it watchable. He is a master in storytelling like no other. I constantly watch his matches in awe. Mark Calaway made that character the best gimmick ever because he made it believable. There is no one like the Undertaker.

Imagine if he is healthy and how many feuds he could've done with the current roster the likes of Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Daniel Bryan, Ryback, and Rusev.

What is so special about Undertaker is that even his opponent would lose a match and even the feud, they come out stronger unlike Cena. Cena destroys momentum while Undertaker makes them famous (No pun intended).

The Undertaker is the best ever and yes, he is SO MISSED without him. :(

OP is right. The WWE must wish that he was eternal and never aged because theoretically, he could last forever in the hearts and minds of fans and they'd always welcome him as an integral part of the company. It's getting to that time of year when we just start to feel ready for a return and look forward to the excitement he always brings. Nobody knows what is going on with him this year, it's all such a question mark. However, I feel less and less confident with each passing day that he'll ever come back to wrestle and he may not even be back at all this year. It will feel so strange without him and probably never stop feeling like something huge is missing when he no longer comes back to wrestle.

He is without a doubt the absolute cornerstone of the company with a spirit and shadow that looms large even when he's not around.

This is the feature from WWE 24 last night from Undertaker's match. Probably the saddest thing I've watched in a while. The sheer panic in Vince's voice calling for help after Taker collapses after the match and the way he grabs him for a hug before the match speaks volumes about how much love and respect Vince has for him.

With the way Vince gave Brock the whole world on a silver platter twice (including ending The Streak of the said guy in the video), I'd like to believe there is no wrestler Vince loves and respects more than Brock.

Nonetheless, that video is heartbreaking as hell. Saddest thing I've seen from WWE ever since Eddie's tribute.

Yes, I miss him and many others don't get me wrong.

But it's time to let go and this is why we aren't creating enough new stars cause people and the WWE especially will not let go of these old stars who are legends and past their prime by about 10 years.

When Taker, Rock etc wrestle at Wrestlemania every now and then I love it but when current stars who are trying to make a name for themselves are sacrificed for these guys then that's when I get pissed off.

That video from WWE 24 hits you right in the gut, especially with the piano version of his theme. Damn, can't believe how fucked up he was. He's amazingly tough to wrestle for a half an hour with such a severe head injury. He looked barely conscious by the end. It's weird hearing Vince so panicked like that. No doubt there is nobody he respects and cares for more that Calaway. To get into the ambulance and go to the hospital with him tells you everything you need to know.

There will never be another Undertaker. I realize we have to eventually let him go but it doesn't make it any easier.

I remember being like 8 years old and marking the fuck out when Flair pushed that chair into the ring and Taker did that awful tombstone on Hogan 'on the chair' (trans: he held him upside down and then kneeled down and gently laid Hogan on his back).

The guy has just always had 'it' and with the current state of WWE, you can't make a guy like that again. He had an actual character and that allowed him to go places you can't go when you're in current WWE and they're just like 'OK, you're Bob Smith and your character is that you're a pro wrestler.'

It's why Fandango, to me, is a step in the right direction. The guy is basically Vega from SSFII. He's a dancer who just wants a platform to show off how good he is at dancing, and the wrestling part is just secondary to him. It's a total 80s gimmick and I hope we see more of them.

Undertaker was an Undertaker who wrestled so he could bury guys. It was a great character. Can you imagine anyone in WWE zipping a guy up in a body bag now?

Vince would have a heart attack.

I love taker. One of my favorites, I miss him being a full timer dearly. He definitely made the wwe more interesting. But, there's a time when you reach a certain age where ya just can't go anymore and you've gotta hang up the boots. Undertaker is that age now. Just gotta deal with it and move on.

One of, if not the, greatest performer in the history of the business.

I really do hope he performs at WrestleMania 31.

I've seen him in person at some live events in Melbourne but it would be a dream come true to say I witnessed Undertaker at WrestleMania. Sucks that the streak is over but I don't think I'd want to be there to witness it being broken anyway, so maybe it's good that it happened already haha.

I had goosebumps watching his entrance in the arena for the first time, and I think it'll be the same x1000 % at Mania.
