i just met chavo guerrero earlier this week. so anyway he was really cool and we talked for a good 5 mins. i ask him what he's upto these days and too bad i didnt know anything about lucha underground the show that he's on right now apparently cause i havent watched wrestling in a while. then i told him i was a fan during the los guerreros days and he gave me a pat on my back and i marked lol. it was really cool of him to take the time and be genuinely interested in talking while he was in the middle of his busy schedule since he said he had a meeting to go to. it was a nice experiece meeting a wrestler for the first time. any stories of you people?
I met Shawn Michaels at a restaurant once - we’d accidentally been given his table. Apparently he was fond of the restaurant and had a specific table he liked, and the management had messed up and gotten their days wrong, (it was Tuesday and they thought he was coming on Thursday or something like that).
Anyway, the manager, completely embarrassed (this is a pretty nice restaurant) comes by and says “I’m so sorry, but we’d like to move you to another table if you could be troubled, and we’ll gladly compensate you for the cost of the meal and any other meal you’d like while you’re in town.” My sister and cousin were both like “Yeah that’s cool.” and I kind of played the asshole a bit.
"I’m sorry, I just don’t understand. We’ve been here for 15 minutes - we’ve just ordered. Can’t we finish our meal here?"
Then out of nowhere Shawn Michaels shows up next to the manager and says “Paul, these guys can finish. We’ll be at the bar. I got some time.”
And I (being a big HBK fan) said “Oh wow, uh… I had no idea. Please feel free to give them the table.”
Shawn was grateful, shook my hand and said thanks, then gave me a card with his number on it and told me to give him a call later. After working up the nerve, I gave him a call that night, and to make a long story short, we had a glorious 11 month love affair, man on man, that I shall never forget. Our bodies intertwined as one, and from the beauty of Morocco, to the French Riviera, to the snorkeling in the Galopagos, Shawn Michaels and I made glorious gay love to each other on six of the seven continents.

I met Rikishi and Roman Reigns' father back in 2004 at some hotel resort in Pennsylvania. They were signing autographs and I remember Reigns' father had a plate of chicken wings right next to him lol
I've only met Kofi Kingston and Maria Kanellis during an autograph signing at a HEB but I never had random encounter with a former or current pro-wrestler.
I know this isn't exactly WWE related, but nevertheless, here goes:
A couple of years back, I was attending an independent event over here in the UK. It was during the time when 1PW was active & booking quite a few American guys to come over and perform. Because the guys were in the country, they were also taking various other bookings to help with flights/accommodation while staying in the UK.
I went to the lavatory/bathroom during the interval and just about as the second half of the show is about to start. I was one of the few fans not in the hall at the time. Out of the corner of my eye, I see this 6'0"+ guy walk in as I'm about to leave. I recognise the face - it was Austin Aries. It just so happens that the wrestlers and fans had to share the same toilets.. He gave me a nod as I left & I'm not going to lie, I marked out ever so slightly. True story.
Was at Intermission at a WWA show in 2002. Massive queue of fans getting autographs. Didn't bother going over and then all of a sudden Bret Hart walked into me and stood on my foot.
I just stood there in awe and he's apologising profusely etc. Really cool guy.
Met a current top superstar in my gym early last year I told him any time he's back in glasgow he's welcome to come and have dinner at mine lol. I'm only gutted we didn't take photos or anything cause it could have been funny, but we were both working out and looked like shit.
I remember o met randy orton with my nephew once and the wee man called him Mr orton while all these smarky dudes were screaming at him. I met Kane when I was younger with my pals at a rare ass live event in glasgow and that was fucking hilarious. And I've met Debra cause my dad knows her.
I met Cm Punk a couple years ago. Was a pretty awkward interraction to say the least.
Me: HEY PHIL CAN I GET A PICTURE!?
Punk: What did you just call me?
Me: PHIL ISNT THAT YOUR NAME!?
Punk proceeds to walk away before all of a sudden he turns around, kicks me in the stomach and lifts me up for the gts. Boom 1 2 3 DINGDINGDING.
We later went to a bar and got drunk it was alot of fun. Were pretty tight to this day. Actually im one of his bjj couches and I will walk him out to the octagon when he fights.
I met Tank Abbott at a bar in Huntington Beach after he lost the fight to Kimo he was with his dad and they were pretty fucked up. I offered to buy Tank a drink but he declined. The guy got all emotional and started crying on my shoulder about his mom just dying and how his mind wasn't right for the Kimo fight. His dad looked like he was out of central casting for Sons of Anarchy.
Another time I met Chisel from Tough Enough 2 in Manhatten Beach. He was running after some dude. My friends and I yelled at him. He started walking over to us and I asked him if he wanted to wrestle. He walks up and throws a kick in my stomach. I just flew back on my back and totally sold the kick. He was in shock, his friend was in shock, and my friends were in shock. Chisel gave me a hand to pull me up and his friend said you sold the fuck out of that kick. We chated a bit and he was cool too bad he never made it. Worst part was I broke my 2,000.00 watch when i landed.
Not sure if this counts but Sting was signing autographs so we showed up. My friends brother dressed in all black, long black trench coat, glasses, and he brought a baseball bat. Line was probably 100 people we kept getting people into line by letting them think it was the singer Sting. Finally we got tired of waiting so we walked into the store as if we were going to shop. My friends brother just grabs his bat and points at Sting, people were laughing and Lee Marshall started yelling at us.
My friend has a good story with Axel Rotten. He went to an Indy Show and Axel hit him up after the show to see if he wanted to get dinner. Then asked him to pay when the check came.
My wife and I met Mick Foley and Sheamus in the space of about a week - Foley after his comedy/stories show, and Sheamus at a Tesco courtesy of TylerMoxReigns and her friend who worked there.
The story of Sheamus is that we told him we were getting married the week after and being such a class act he changed what he was signing to congratulate us on getting married. This is what makes TylerMoxReigns freaking awesome; best sister ever.
On our honeymoon week we went to see Foley on his UK tour and queued for a photo and signing afterwards. Very friendly guy.
few months ago met Rikishi and 2cool in a shithole pub and it cost me £80 when everyone else got free photos, rikishi is a bit of a moody asshat, but i guess justified, Scotty2hotty is the chillest bloke, and BC is pretty juiced and funny.
I went to Wrestlemania Access for Wrestlemania 17 and met a bunch of the wrestlers. I didn't see too many big names, but I got to see a lot of the women wrestlers and Kane. I also saw Lita twice during Wrestlemania weekend which was cool, she was super nice to me. I was like 10 at the time.
My mom always claimed that I met Ric Flair when I was a little kid (about 5 years old) but to be honest I don't recall and have a hard time believing her story. She has always told me stories of wrestlers from Jim Crockett Promotions coming in to the restaurant (Morrison's) where she worked at the time and having a late night dinner after shows at the Township Auditorium (which was a frequent NWA/JCP stop in the 1970s & 1980s). She has a few Polaroids from that time that are now pretty faded of Jimmy Valiant (The Boogie Woogie Man), Dusty Rhodes, Rikki Nelson and the Rock & Roll Express at the restaurant. If her stories are to be believed, Jimmy Valiant was a very flirtatious guy since he flirted with and kissed every waitress that worked there including my mom! I don't think that would go over too well today in 2015.
As for what I do remember, in 2003 my bestfriend and myself took a vacation to Atlanta, GA. While we were there primarily see a couple of concerts happening the weekend we were in town, I knew I wanted to see more of the city and for the things I wanted to do my bestfriend wasn't interested since she loathes professional wrestling with the passion of a 1,000 burning suns. Anyway, I ended up going to a Mick Foley book signing for Tietam Brown (excellent read by the way) at the Chapter 11 Bookstore in Atlanta. I got to meet Mick and got two copies of the book signed. He was a really cool guy and even cracked a couple Al Snow like jokes at my expense because by the time I was next in line to meet him, I was ringing with sweat since it was crowded in the bookstore with the AC not working so well on a hot Georgia afternoon. Luckily one of the attendants at the signing allowed me to clean myself up a bit before I got my picture taken with him.
Also got to meet Abdullah the Butcher at his restaurant in Atlanta during the same period as well. Was really a cool place to visit with all the wrestling memorabilia he has posted all through out the restaurant. I was sitting at a table by myself when he came up, had a seat and asked me how I was enjoying the food. It was really a surprise as I wasn't expecting to meet him, especially since I did a quick glimpse when I walked in and didn't see him. We ended up having a good 10 - 15 minute conversation about his career before he left my table. Probably one of the best times of my life getting to meet Mick Foley and Abdullah the Butcher all in the same weekend.
I'll never forget seeing Cena the week of Wrestlemania 21
Everyone was chasing the limo when he was leaving in and the driver stopped quickly and some guy rolled on top of the trunk and fell off. After that, they (the limo) sped off.
I met Al Snow at a local Walmart or something when I was 10 or so. Nice guy..
When I was roughly 12, I got to meet Lita at the local FYE store. I still remember (26 now) seeing her initially thru the glass, and I was geeking out over seeing her thong as she was sitting down. She was really sweet, and I kind of blacked it out, because I was so nervous. I remember she was down to earth, and I got autographs for my friends too even. Later that day I was talking to my grandma on the phone, and my friends were with me, and they kept yelling "We saw her thong! WE SAW HER THONG!" into the phone, not knowing who I was talking to. It was so embarrassing, but created 1 great memory.
Met the Dudleys in the airport in ATL. Funniest part was when their bags came out on the luggage rack, Bubba pointed them out and D-Von went and got them
Went to a house show as a kid with my Dad, one of the bushwackers high fived me on his way to the ring and licked my Dad's head. Wierd but i always remember that. Got in the ring with Big Daddy aswell
