Chuck Carroll of the Turnbuckle Weekly sent in the following highlights of his interview with Roman Reigns (listen to it here or on CBS' new Play.It podcast network: http://washington.cbslocal.com/2015...k-lesnar-would-be-hardest-hitting-match-ever/).

I had the opportunity to ask him about potentially main eventing WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar. He told me that it would be a "million dollar dream" come true.

He also said he really thinks because of their backgrounds it would be one hell of a brutal match.

"I think it would be one of the hardest hitting matches of all-time," Reigns told me. "It'd be extremely aggressive. I think you'd see a level of intensity you've never seen before."

I also asked Reigns about the doubts he had while recovering from surgery. He admitted that he had some concerns, but at no time did he think his career was actually over. He also credited his strong support system for helping get him through.

Perhaps most interestingly, I asked him about working with an acting coach in Los Angeles during his down time.

"It wasn't about promos," he said.

Reigns told me the process was about being able to channel the emotions of a real life experience into his delivery on-camera and in the ring.

"It's really connecting with any type of emotions and connecting with triggers," he said.

I also asked him about Lesnar being a part-time champion. And while he thinks WWE deserves a full-time champ, guys like Lesnar and The Rock have earned that right.

Here's everything we covered.

- How wrestlers view the time between Royal Rumble and WrestleMania

- Did he ever think his career was over while out recovering from surgery

- How he overcame doubts and the support system that helped get him through recovery

- How working with an acting coach helped his performance

- How he draws on real life experiences to make a connection

- That if you don't get in the gym before the Royal Rumble you're screwed

- His strategy for not burning out during the Royal Rumble

- His "million dollar dream" of facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania

- Why wrestling Lesnar would be one of the hardest hitting matches of all time

- His thoughts on WWE having a part-time champion

- How part-time champions have earned that right

- His prediction for the Super Bowl: New England Patriots or Seattle Seahawks?

- Why the Seahawks make him want to vomit

- How WWE talents will likely watch the Super Bowl
Wow. So we got both Reigns and Bryan now talking about facing Lesnar.

Royal Rumble 2015 will be the most unpredictable Rumble match of all time, probably the first time in history two wrestlers have 50.00% chance of winning.

The only way that is possible is if Reigns is willing to bump like crazy for Lesnar and get himself legit busted open like Cena did at Extrme rules.

You know what is funny about that too? If Reigns did go out there and took all the hard bumps, got busted up and actually managed to pull off a brutal and realistic classic against Lesnar then it'd work. We'd buy into him.

If he went out there and did a standard match, with all his poses and the kicking out of two finishers each garbage then nobody is interested.

If they did this match and made it an absolute War and Reigns was willing to go out and show that he's more than just a pretty face then it'd be a big deal. Otherwise it won't be.

Reigns ending Mania covered in blood having been put through hell to defeat Lesnar is the only way that match would be remotely interesting to me.

I'm not even a blood mark either but IF you want to show an entirely different side to Reigns then that's how I'd do it.

Reigns hates the Seahawks? Roman y u do dis? Lawd, I'm being tested today.

Didn't Bryan say he felt his match with Lesnar would be very physical too? Akin to the hard style of Puro? Not sure if I read that wrong, I skimmed that interview. Anyway, it really feels like a competition now between Reigns and Bryan, Sunday is going to be interesting, the aftermath is going to be interesting and the forum is going to be unbearable.

You know what if the match happens fuck it ill be willing to give it a chance. Unlike some of you who only judge a book by its cover

I hope we get a backstage stare down between Reigns and Bryan at the Rumble PPV.

Those two seem like anti-thesis to each other even to the difference is the types of talent they are, they apparently counteract each other when it come to preferred Football teams and both obviously want that Lesnar match.

Reigns as the heel and Bryan as the face has potential as a top program later down the line.

You mean like Vince and Dunn judge talents by their "cover"? :lol

Seriously though, in this sense, The "book" of Reigns vs Lesnar is being written by a shitty author that some aren't fans of. Screw judging the book by it's cover, it's judging the book by the track record of the Authors in this instance.

It's hard to have a hard hitting match when you don't have any power moves. Unless he just means Brock's gonna beat the shit out of him for 20 minutes?
