I did not realize how GOOD Heyman was commentary in 2001 during the epic but flawed ALLIANCE STORYLINE because I am watching NO MERCY 2001, and he was good, I liked him better in early 2001 though. I would love to see him in his early 2001 form on commentary without vince filtering him, he was badass loved him, maybe he will come back and replace Lawler. I would love to see paul heyman calling the legendary MIZ or some reigns and Ambrose matches.:laugh::laugh:
I miss when comentators payed more attention to the matches instead of making jokes all the time while two guys are taking bumps in the ring. Just narrate what holds they're using and the psychology behind the match. If they don't do that, they're basically telling people they shouldn't care about the match.
I thought Heyman was one of the worst commentators to ever sit at a wwe booth. He was unnecessarily loud, always yelling innocuous shit that made the match moments lesser, self indulgent, attention seeking.... Just a garbage commentator.
It's not exactly Paul Heyman that I miss on commentary, what I really miss is them not having Vince in their earpieces telling them exactly what to say. So yes I miss Heyman on commentary and I would like him back but only if Vince lets him say whatever the hell he wants
I too would love Heyman back on commentary but it hardly fits in with WWE's "Sports Entertainment" focus or their PG rating. It's ironic that Lawler, being a wrestling legend in his own right, fits this mold exactly.
If I never heard Heyman again it would be fine with me. So no, I don't miss him on commentary. His absence has been the only good thing to come out of Brock's ridiculous non-reign as champion.
I don't worry about the commentators and the fans like most people on here.. All that matters to me is the storytelling and the action in the ring.. They can have a monkey on commentary for all i care, which they do at times.
I disagree. Having those three tools literally SHOUTING into the mic has ruined so many matches/segments/moments this year alone. It's one thing to be really stupid, it's a whole 'nother thing when rampant stupidity meets lunatics screaming.
Well a lot of people beat me to it JR and Heyman were absolute gold
people are hard on todays announce team though in all fairness they are actually pretty good
Heyman and JR were just the best period
