He has good chunk of moves they haven't let him carry into his singles run. FCW and early heel Shield days? He had variety of slams and suplexes.
For some reason, most of his old moveset is gone. But I'm happy they're letting him go out there and loosen up. Too many big guy opponents like Big Show and Kane limit what he can do to them. He's not experienced enough to work with big guys like them.
But you know most of WF is ignorant and will go on with their "dur dur he only knows six moves!!"
It doesn't matter how many moves he "knows".
This top-15 moves or whatever video is useless.
It's different thing to do a move once or twice with right opponent and to do move regulary in your matches.
Of cource he can do more than 6 moves. He can do boston crab or snapmare. Even I can do it. And you. It's not hard.
It's about how many moves guy can do GOOD all the time with different opponents.
It's HD TV. Your moves should look smoth all the time. And he can do about 6 moves with those demands. So he is doing them. Simple is that.
For me, it's not about how many moves a guy can do with ease and regularity. It's how he uses them and the story he tells in the ring that's most important. RVD has many moves that he does often but he doesn't sell a story in the ring with me and therefore, all I see are him doing these fancy moves that mean nothing to me.
People could say what they want about Cena, but other than his stale finishing sequence, he's actually quite good at telling a story in the ring (at least on PPV's) and that's what keeps me from criticizing his wrestling skills.
Yeah the tilt a whirl slam. He performed it picture perfectly and Rollins athletic ability made it look great. Really is one of the more impressive slams I have seen in a while
I have to find the gif set, but somewhere on Tumblr they had gifs from all the moves Roman used to do in tag matches back when he was in Shield, but doesn't do in his singles. It's baffling why WWE wouldn't want Roman to use all he can. Why make it seem like you guy knows only a few things when he knows at least 15 more moves? :lol And no, they're not all strikes and kicks people
It's the tilt a whirl slam. And it kind of looks like the way Rock did it in 2000. Rock's version was always the best, and Reigns copying it is a good thing. Don't know why rock dropped it out of his moveset just like how he dropped the float over DDT from 1998.
Well thank god. I wanted to see Reigns add some more power moves to his arsenal, it seems the WWE just shortened his moveset to punches and clotheslines.
Would really love to see him use the powerbomb as well, to be his second finisher next to the spear.
Roman does NOT have some of the best execution on the roster at ALL. He is improving and this is good, the face just doing his sig moves and winning is done and over. Roman is trying to improve and there is nowhere but up!
Of course. Showmanship is a big thing too. But you gotta admit Roman gets shit on because he "only does five moves" . At least if he does more, it kills that argument.
Now, we just need for him to stop selling so much in matches. My god, they had him selling for jobber ass fandango :side:
I will change my opinion of the guy if he starts to add more moves to his arsenal instead of just using his finishing sequence after a ton of meh brawling
What's the obsession with move sets anyway? Who cares. How you use moves are way more important than how many you do. Dusty Rhodes has had some of the best matches ever utilizing like one throw and a couple holds. That's just one example.
Not a fan of Reigns but the MOVEZ obsession is dumb.
It's kind of funny that this has its own thread :lol. I'll add though that he's used it twice now, last week against fandango and this week. he's also changed the way he's does his usual clothesline sequence.
I think he is trying to come off more like a powerhouse, Iin my opinion it's the wrong direction for him but it does seem that way and if he can pull it off then good for him. I think we'll see a change in him once he fights smaller guys. Please no more henry, kane and bigshow.

Blame the WWE. They bill him literally as The Powerhouse and The Juggernaut. It's actually a good thing that he's coming off that way since that's what they want.
Have Reigns marks already started grasping at straws? He starts doing one more move and people act like he's made improvements? And did we really need a thread about this?
It's not not about the quantity of moves, it is the quality of the moves and how they fit into the story of the match. EX. Ric Flair.
The problem with Reigns is that most of his matches are forgettable or, to be brief, boring. If he is ever going to be great, he needs to make every single move seem like it matters.
I and Reigns fans are not grasping for straws. Obviously Reigns is a very popular person to talk about on this forum and threads created about him are huge draws for casual visitors. I would say he is the Kylie Jenner of Wrestlingforum
first of all, the move isn't that great. that video of the rock doing it was just ok. second of all, rollins is the best at selling in the wwe. he can make almost anything look great. let's see him do that move against someone other than rollins or ziggler and i doubt you'll be raving about it.
Just ok that it was a fucking signature move of his in No Mercy on n64 lol. Nobody did it like him with the little leg kick while doing the move. I hate that his way of doing it hasn't been in a video game since then, it's so fucking cool compared to the stupid Billy Gunn version that's in every video game.
More awe inspired strength/power moves will work great for his style.
He does need 3 or 4 wince inducing power slams, even if its soft, the illusion needs to be "owe! Fuck! That had to hurt!" I like the 80s backbreaker
And seriously I know its controversial but if they make him the "leader" for while, let him do a pile driver.
A reverse pile driver , not tombstone style like sit down but reversing let's body fall back and neck not compress as opponent braces his arms on thighs of assailant for added brace and safety.
They need to trust the guys at top. But I agree he needs to prove he can do it safely repetitively.
A good pile driver, maybe 4 good slams/supex, a old school 80s back breaker both versions across knee and across shoulders luger style.
And study Steamboat's arm drag takedowns repeatedly.
I think in my opinion those type moves would be best and look awesome on Reins , I don't like the Spear its been used to death.
