- Seth Rollins recently spoke with The Sun in the UK and had the following to say about Randy Orton:
"Randy and I are colleagues for sure, but we were never friends as far as hanging out.
Randy’s got his life, I’ve got my life – we were business partners when it made sense. But now it doesn’t make sense any more so we’re at odds again.
And if you look at the way things were when we first came in as The Shield, he didn’t like us very much then so it is one of those things where I think he has always harboured a little professional jealousy when it comes to myself.
Maybe he’s a little afraid that some of the young guys are going to come in and steal some of his thunder.
An incredible performer and a sure-fire first ballot Hall of Famer – but he’s had his time and I think he may be a little afraid to admit that."
i also saw a video of wwe wrestlers talking about their worst christmas presents, he said his was a blanket knitted by his grandmother, he hated it so much he put it in the bin lmfao, he's such a good heel, dorky as hell but hilarious.
This will be a potential feud of the year if WWE gives it enough time to get some legs.
If Bryan isn't healthy enough to return by the Royal Rumble, they should have Orton win the Rumble, beat Brock at Mania, lose by cash in to Rollins a few seconds later, and feud until summerslam with Seth (maybe with Rollins dropping the belt in a 3 or 4 way match to shake up the title scene before then.)
And while I'm at it, I'm pretty sure Orton still has a lot to give, he's still only 34.
To put that into perspective, he's only one year older than Cesaro and Ryback.
Orton and Seth both have 10x the personality outside of their tv promos. It's a shame the WWE won't stop scripting those things. They really need to let these 2 guys just do it off the cuff. They're both great until they have crap to memorize.
These 2 are a lot alike on a couple levels.
In reality, Seth would be a better face and Randy a better heel in this matchup.
Orton was always known to have that arrogant spoiled-douche baggery backstage, I think he hates the fact that he was Vince/HHH's golden boy/ super protected pet project for best part of a decade and now it looks like that ship has finally sailed.
WWE pretty much forced their hand into having to have Sting at 31 as opposed to waiting to help that 32 draw, so if we get say HHH/Sting, if Taker can go and they don't save him up Taker/Wyatt and Rollins/Orton filled out by Miz/Sandow, and if he is healthy Bryan/Rusev, we could be in for a surprisingly nice RTWM outside of the inevitable appearance of Reigns in 6 segments delivering 3 dry promos a night. In that hypothetical I'd give Orton/Rollins a real shot at MOTN depending on the time Rusev/Bryan would get if Bryan is healthy. This is all purely hypothetical.
My mind is being completely blown away, this was really fake? Wow they fooled me, it's still real to me damnit.
