Coming out of the PPV last night, I've been told many in the company are not happy with the end result. While many knew it would be tough to top the NXT show, there were people who thought it could be pulled off.
There have been rumblings that some talent knew they couldn't top NXT so in a silent protest in favor of Triple H, some superstars were described "mailing in" their matches last night. Many are in favor of Triple H and what he has done with the NXT product and feel it is time for Triple H to take the lead on the main roster.
John Cena held a talent meeting about an hour ago which was described to me as forceful yet calm in his approach. Cena stressed that a silent protest is not what the roster needs. Instead, they need to go out there and start stepping it up every night for their point to be proven.
Cena needs to shut the fuck up. It doesn't matter how much they 'step their game up' when the game is literal pieces of shit they have to make into gold.
ut
Fuck this company blaming their overworked talent for their own shortcomings in creative and booking. I hope Swagger is one of the ones that mailed in (although he did work his ass off last night) because he deserves to be a fucking midcard star and instead he's booked into definite purgatory by these jackasses.
I'm sure he just gathered the guys in the back and just told them what they needed to hear. I'm sure all of them wanted to punch him in the face. Especially if he was saying that shit to Wyatt.

Swagger and Rusev got 4 minutes, there was no way they were going to have a good match. Let this sink in for a second, Kane and Ryback got more than twice the amount of time that Swagger and Rusev got. And they wonder why the NXT show wasn't topped.
McMahon basically told the roster (outside of 4 guys) that they don't matter on Austin's podcast, why would any of them try HARDER now than they were before. I actually hope this "silent protest" continues
He's right but it's also the booking that sucks. The corn ball heel tactics are outdated and beefed up muscle head era of simply roaring to the crowd to get over is done. The 80's worked this way because people grew up watching corny crap like He-man, G.I joe etc where the bad guys were always stupid, weak and annoying. People don't like that anymore, they want real threats and competition, not blow outs! Has anyone ever said, "Oh boy you remember that blow out championship game? YEAH wasn't it awesome watching one side get completely demolished!?"
Seth got made to look like such a weakling that I fear it's over for him as top heel. He's not credible nor is he going to look strong. Then they wonder why they have such shit ratings and nobody is getting over.
:cena4 "Come on, guys! We gotta stick together! We gotta step it up so we can...guys? Why're you looking at me like that? Uhhh....Hager? Why're you lockin' the door? N-now easy there, Windham! Just put down the bat and let's...GUYS?!"
We can only dream. John Cena needs an Attitude Adjustment badly. It must be terrible having a co-worker like that. It's like Bo Dallas in real life. You just want to kick the shit out of him.
Well considering the match Cena was in, I'm guessing he didn't follow his own advice and either went the "silent protest" route or just mailed it in as normal because he can.
In any event, I don't agree with any "silent protest" and not sure if I believe the report. I think ultimately it's down to the limitations Vince sets on wrestlers nowadays in terms of time limits, or maybe it was just an off night. Only match that really disappointed big time was Wyatt/Ambrose, and even that was better than all other matches except Ziggler/Harper. Most of the other matches either weren't given enough time or never really had a chance to begin with (Show/Rowan, Ryback/Kane, and Rollins/Cena being in the dreaded tables match all fall in this category). Even the tag title match, while fun due to Mizdow, could've been better. The divas title match got decent time and was dreadful and sloppy. AJ and even Nikki are both better in-ring workers than that.
Fucking Cena! You're the last person those guys need to hear it from when they all know that they're going to get fed to you. Jesus. Also :lmao at a silent protest. So they're just going to suck on purpose until Hunter takes over? I guess we're in for a fun RTWM. I swear if they aired the backstage shit on TV they'd have 10.2 billion in ratings. Also Triple H coming in with more heel and face turns with the net this year than Henry and Show combined. 2 weeks ago everybody hated him and just as anybody with a lick of sense predicted, now everybody loves him again. Somebody send that man a fruit basket...

Not easy to step up when they don't get much chances. For an example, Swagger & Rusev last night could've easily had the match of the night, but they only got like 5 mins.
Think about it, though. Some matches flatout sucked like the chairs and stairs matches, but then you got Swagger/Rusev that would have been amazing with more time or maybe even a different fucking ending, and then you got Ambrose/Wyatt and Rollins/Cena with shit endings.
Even if these talents were 'mailing in' their issue was not their laziness or protest, but the booking.
So they all got to sit FACE TO FACE WITH THE MAN WHO RUNS THIS PLACE!! :cena4
I'm sure they were fucking thrilled Cena was chairing a meeting when the booking of his character is one of the reasons the quality of the TV product is so bad in the first place.

If he's implying that the main roster sucks then he's right in that regard. Someone has to light a fire in the WWE's ass. If people are going to try to say "He's only saying that so he can bury them" please, it really doesn't matter what Cena does with them. The creative team sucks right now. They can have the entire NXT roster beat John Cena individually and they still won't be superstars
Paul Levesque's master plan is finally coming to fruition. Marry McMahon's daughter? Check. Become the most hated man in the industry for 10 years? Check. Slowly carry out the biggest babyface turn of all time while still playing a dastardly heel on TV? Check. Turn roster against McMahon? In progress. NXTtakeover WWE? Soon. World domination? Inevitable.
Vince will bury them all just to prove a point that he's boss. HHH is prolly pissed NXT is getting a lot of praise. Now vince has NXT in his sights and will fuck with the booking.
"Don't worry guys, when those NXT geeks get the call to come to the main roster, creative is going to fuck them up the way the had fucked you, so just chillax dudes." :cena2

Silent protest to mail it in? Not working hard? How were the guys not working hard? I mean the matches sucked, but Ryback & Kane had like 30 chair shots and Rowan/Big Show were trying to maneuver steel stairs around all match long. The match was stupidly booked, but Cena & Rollins went out there and tried to be exciting. The booking just took me out of it. How many times did Ambrose dive off the Ladder last night? And then you had Ziggler & Harper who practically killed each other in their match. Even Swagger/Rusev, a rushed filler match, energy and effort to me.
I'm sorry, but I'm not seeing how the effort of the boys was the problem last night and the fact that the report keeps comparing TLC to NXT R-Evolution (which is what the IWC has been doing since the NXT show aired), it just reeks of being a made up story to me.
The problem with TLC last night was the booking. Maybe if all the Raws leading into the show didn't suck and maybe if they didn't over-gimmick the holy heck out of the show, it might have had a chance.
Metsfan4ever is legit. I thought he wasn't till he posted this
I have a friend that worked MSG shows and Tampa shows, this pass is staff members only.
