Any superstar who could convey emotions very well to the audience. .whether anger, sorrow , happiness etc.
I think eddie was pretty good and also Hbk..I remember when undertaker was not giving him a match at wm and he went crazy..that was some good stuff..
I know people hate on the big show..but i think he does a decent job of crying on the spot and is also good at being angry and goofy..
Please try to name superstars who could convey a range of emotions and were not just good at a single one.
Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, Eddie Guerrero, Stone Cold, The Rock; and Undertaker (in terms of emotions that Taker convey) are ones I would name off the top of my head.
But yeah, for all the praise that Shawn Michaels gets, I think his acting ability and character-work are underrated. He was so subtle and fleshed out and well defined. Whether this is heel asshole HBK or born again jackass HBK, he was ridiculously meticulous with his detailing.
Shawn Michaels is my favorite wrestler of all time. I've watched most of his matches many times. I've concluded that HBK was so particular that he knew just the right amount of bounce to put into his step depending on what his character was supposed to portray. Before he even gets into the ring, his body language is strong and purposeful.
A good example would be, off the top of my head, the little interaction he has with Gorilla Monsoon during the Ground Zero bout with 'Taker. Has any wrestler ever been able to say that much with facial expressions and body language? He walks up to Gorilla Monsoon and sort of threatens him, You crop just his face out of that picture and you know exactly who HBK is. You don't know that he's a wrestler, or that he's having a match. But you know he's an asshole, you know he's a rebellious outlaw, you know his threat is contrived and non-serious, you know he's looking up at an authority figure, you know he's being pursued by something that scares him.
Blahblahblah, I could go on.
In conclusion, if it's not the Rock then I'm going with HBK.
Honorable mention to Big Show as well. He is very good at filling any role. He's stale and exhausted at this point. But he still knows his roles and can pull them off and can get over.

Have to say Cody Rhodes. First of, his all around acting is pretty top notch. I don't even remember what feud it was when I first noticed-- maybe the one where he was "fired"-- but I remembered thinking then that the guy was a great actor. Then as Stardust, the guy is a completely different character now, and he has become that character. Not just specific things he says, and not just pre-recorded promos, but all of his little mannerisms and movements have been completely altered to "become" Stardust.
And honorable mention to Show because, yeah, crying on demand is an impressive skill. As bad as those segments were, I wasn't even mad because I was too busy being impressed that he was actually crying on cue on live TV, and the entire segment depended on his ability to do so.
The story all along was that he wore the mask because his face was burned and then they made the decision that he was going to lose the mask. Obviously there was nothing wrong with him and this is a scenario where every wise ass and critic could say "Oh I thought he was burned what the hell?". That interview he did with JR after he lost the mask was genius and you left with the impression that he was just a crazy fuck. He plays that psycho monster character so well.
Then he go and convincingly play the role of a white collar executive as Corporate Kane. Besides Mick Foley, I challenge someone to find me a wrestler that can play so many different characters that are in no way connected and make it seem real.
I forgot how good vince is
..he has worked with so many greats and he always gets the crowd indulged in his performance..whether he is being a crazy boss or gettin his ass kicked
