You want truly bad, talk about someone that doesn't have classics in their resume... I know I know, it destroys your technical marking badass cred by actually having to look beyond the simple technical merits of a wrestler and actually give nods to other styles that have actual merit. This is professional wrestling... it's not so much about the style, but how you use what you have. That is why Hogan and Warrior are so often held in such high esteem with a Savage or Hart... it wasn't just about mat based wrestling. But I know I know, you don't want to hear from a guy that will routinely mark out for a Rollins or Bryan but will gladly tip the hat to a brawler that can put on a good match as well. It ruins the whole illusion going on that only one wrestling style is legit...
I think it's an insult to put Warrior in the same class as Hogan quite frankly, as a wrestler, a draw, charisma, a promo, or anything. After all, it was Hogan who carried Warrior's ass to maybe his best match ever. He certainly made him look like a million dollars.

The Ultimate Warrior could have been huge, but at the end of the day his success was fleeting. He's a character that had some sort of nostalgic impact on kid's lives, like Power Rangers or Ninja Turtles, but beyond that, he never hit the heights that were expected of him or reached by Hogan because He. Just. Wasn't. That. Good.

I think the Ultimate Warrior sucked. I thought he sucked when I was 12. Some people think Bret Hart sucked. Some people think Benoit sucked. Some people think Bryan sucks right now. Guess what? It's an opinion. But I don't think guys like Bobby Heenan or Bret or Flair or even Vince now looking to make some money off his nostalgia again were lying when they basically said he sucked too.

I do agree with you, trust me Warrior isn't my cup of tea at all but IMO you can't say Warrior is a bad wrestler like OP did because what defines a good wrestler is completely subjective & kinda changes from era to era, and also by promotion. If you take Warrior in his prime, look at the crowd responses & look at what he did, he was everything the WWF wanted out of a main event guy.

WWF has never been about the technical prowess or the ability to smoothly transition between a drop toe hold into a headlock. Maybe now it's getting more that way but in general, great mat ability was never considered a top priority.

I listed Savage, and he was champ (and when he died, you saw how much people loved that guy)

This guy is absolutely right. Warrior was involved in the best match of two straight WrestleManias (6 and 7). Anyone who hasn't watched his match vs. Randy Savage at WrestleMania 7 is really missing out. Sure, Savage carried the match as he usually did back in the day but Warrior kept up and the crowd loved every second of it. One of the best and most emotional WrestleMania matches of all time.

Oh, but anything wrong with the Warrior was Hellwig’s own fault, like his nonsensical promos. It’s not like Vince could have ever put his foot down and instructed Warrior to change his style if he thought there was something wrong with it at the time.

Re: are there any wrestlers worse than the ultimate warrior?

People say he never appreciated anything anyone ever did for him and had no respect for the wrestling business. Want proof? He sued the company in 1996 for the rights to his name and character, much to the shock and chagrin of the wrestling personalities now on Vince’s payroll. The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, who in 1996 left for WCW to portray “Trillionaire Ted,” was particularly appalled at Warrior’s disrespect for intellectual property.

Warrior's title reign was booked horribly... you know, the same we see with Cena when he usually isn't champion lately. And Bret is a fucking technical mark.. I love Bret, but the guy is an arrogant asshole when it comes to other styles. Flair.. well, my views on Flair are net a popular opinion among some, and Vince... Vince didn't like Warrior because Warrior didn't play the political kiss ass game. He confronted Vince without remorse and Vince does not like that. Heenan... love him to death too but he really ripped into Warrior for essentially botching by dropping him on his face.. when his finisher starts with dropping people on their faces......... please, explain how that logic works in any reasonable way.

But this tells me all I need to know.. you bought into the propaganda Vince fed people for years... you hate warrior mindlessly and can't actually formulate anything other than "he sucks lol"... you only prove that further with the bullshit "it's opinion, but mine isn't because.. because.. BECAUSE NYAH NYAH NYAH DON"T QUESTION ME!". SO yeah... I think I see where this argument rests.

Thanks for the wonderful memories Ultimate Warrior... happy you got to be recognised as the legend you are before you went. Rest in peace

I would say no even based only on his entrance. Having an entrance and theme that cool at least pushes you past worst of all time. Same thing with someone like Sandman.

I'd say the worst I can think of that is probably New Jack. I'm sure there have been some awful jobbers that just aren't coming to mind straight away.
