Hogan for the first part of his career didn't have to wrestle a PPV match every month either.

Again for a lot of that Hogan wrestled maybe 6 high profile matches, if that, a year. Cena has AT LEAST twice that amount a year. So yeah, I don't have to keep trying.

It's a different era now, Cena wrestles a lot more often than those guys did, especially Hogan. By wrestling more often, I mean in ppvs and tv matches

OP you make a valid point when it concerns Austin. Most on here aren't gonna admit that Austin was built up to be just as super hero-ish as Cena. Look at the Ministry of Darkness storyline for example. Or the fact that Rock, his biggest nemesis, actually rarely went over him clean. Which is what made WM 19 match more special than it should've been (I think it was WM19, correct me if I'm wrong). Cena to me actually did put over his arch nemesises Edge and Orton more.

Basic statistics suggest that Cena would have lost roughly over twice as many matches as Austin for them to have equal records.

Obviously John Cena is going to have lost more matches, that tends to happen when a wrestler works more matches, lol. You don't need to create a thread to point out common sense statistics.
Good post. 450 > 165 matches.

How was the Summerslam match clean when coming into the match his character wasn't 100%?

And how was losing to Orton clean when handcuffs were used & Cena mentioned that THE NEXT NIGHT?

Cena should have lost more than them, his run is longer than both of there's combined, and he isn't even close (And I mean not even in the same stratosphere) to them when it pertains to popularity & being over.

This is what is expected of him, not anything to brag about.

Ya, use your brain.

Austin was so over you couldn't have him lose clean left right & center, he was the show, he was the reason WWE didn't die.

There has never been a point in Cena's career where he has ever been even close to Austin's popularity.

When you have someone like an Austin or a Rock or a Hogan who is that over, they are the show, they don't lose clean. (especially Hogan & Austin).

Cena is not and never has been in that class.

Cena knew what he was getting himself into by agreeing to the match. People have won matches despite injury.

Anything goes and nobody interference. That's clean in my book. Oh and this is the same Cena who used duct tape to defeat Batista once, LOL.
