I appreciate the idea of an annual battle royal with an Andre trophy but I have a couple of issues with it. First, it's 30 man instead of 20. 30 wrestlers in a ring is going to be very tight, almost elbow to elbow. The first 5 or so minutes are going to be very awkward and really nothing but some punching.
The other issue with having 30 is that it's an easy way out for creative. It's lazy booking. Can't make an interesting match for the biggest event of the year? Throw em in the battle royal.
I can't see how they're gonna start with all 30 in the ring. There will be literally no room to do anything and the first few minutes are gonna be awkward and hectic.
I'd sooner they start with a certain number and add another one every 30 seconds or something.
In the Rumble everyone gets the chance to get the spotlight, normally it is a flurry of offence when they first enter, but if all 30 are in the ring together that won't happen and many will just be thrown out within a minute and that's their Wrestlemania over.
Marking for: Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Sami Zayn, Summer Rae, Paige, Fandango, Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin
If I were doing it I would have a series of 3 - 10 man battle royals. Then the winner from each is in a triple threat. The winner of the triple threat gets elevated somewhat to some sort of title scene - midcard or main.
