Default Backstage news on Sting coming to WWE - What officials realize, Hall of Fame talk

Quote:
- We've noted from multiple sources that WWE officials do not see signing Sting as a priority. While this is true, they do want him as a part of the company as they realize that Sting is sort of the last piece to WWE's WCW puzzle. They also realize that there is lots of money to be made with Sting through t-shirts, action figures and other merchandise.

The latest word is that Sting may pop up at WrestleMania XXX, but not wrestle, and then wrestle 1 or 2 matches before being used as a special attraction. With WrestleMania 31 being held in California next year and Sting being a California guy, there's potential for him to be a cornerstone for next year's Hall of Fame class.

Not a priority my ass... Vince will do anything to get him.

I think this guy from this article booked Sting's run until WrestleMania 31 the BEST. I did a short version:

WWE: 10 Steps To Booking Sting For WrestleMania 30 (And Beyond)

Quote:
Debut Sting at Wrestlemania 30 in a surprise appearance to stare down The Undertaker. Following this match, with Lesnar having departed, Taker could take the mic – the tease would be a retirement speech. The Deadman could start detailing the 30th anniversary of Wrestlemania as a fitting time for occasion … but as Taker teases an emotional retirement, the lights go out. A spotlight shines to the rafters, seeing Sting descend.
The two icons stare off and that is all that needs to happen. Taker walks away, leaving Sting in the ring. What this does is establish a year long story that can lead to Sting vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania 31. Would book Sting's run with a winning streak until WrestleMania 31:

- Sting vs. a returning Jericho at Extreme Rules - win
- Sting vs. Bray Wyatt at Payback or Money In The Bank - win
- Sting vs. Orton at SummerSlam (Orton bringing back the Legend Killer gimmick) - win
- Sting vs. Orton again at Night of Champions in a No.1 Contender Match (either for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship or if the titles get deunified until then it should be the WHC) - win
- Sting vs. Cena at Hell In A Cell for the WWE/WHC championship - win
- Sting vs. Cena vs. Orton at Survivor Series - lose (Cena pins Orton not Stinger as the streak goes on)
- Undertaker enters the Royal Rumble at no.1 or 2 only for Sting to come at the next number and eliminate him. Next night on Raw all doubt could be put aside. Undertaker could come to the ring and officially accept Sting’s challenge from a year ago.
- Sting enters Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania
- Sting vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania, Taker wins and then Sting takes the mic and announce his retirement with Undertaker shaking his hand and hugging him. There is no better way to go out of the business than on the biggest stage of all against the biggest star of all. Sting would have done it all in his year back, top level feuds, a WWE title win and now the biggest main event of his life. What a fitting way to end his legacy.

Αs I said in another thread, I cant believe we arent seeing Taker vs Sting this year. This is WM30 and we are talking about the ultimate dream match. Instead Taker is fucking around with the Lesnars and the Ortons

That makes no sense whatsoever. Rock wrestling ONE match before 28, nearly ruined the importance of Wrestlemania.

Man if they do Sting vs Taker right, that feud could go down as one of the best ever. The match wouldn't be fantastic but the story behind it would be so worth it.

Stings first match should be at WM in my opinion facing off vs The Undertaker, anything else ruins it for me.

I wonder where they'll say Sting was for the last 12 years.

It will be great to end Wrestlemania 30 with a stare down between Undertaker and Sting.

I'll say it again - if you haven't watched TNA recently you don't know how broken down Sting is. He simply can't work a good match anymore - he can barely bend at the waist. This plan for using him is exactly right. You guys planning multiple matches for him with top talent and expecting them to be good are living in a dream world.
