Why is Sting vs. Undertaker a dream match?

Why? Sting looks dark, like Undertaker. But he isn't. He's just a mysterious loner, but so was Edge in 1998. No one thought Edge was a dream opponent for Undertaker then.

Sting is in his fifties, he won't come close to carrying Undertaker like Shawn, Hunter or Punk. If it happens, it will be a flop and Undertaker's streak matches will never have the same appeal.

Same reason Goldberg Vs. Austin was a dream match, because they look a bit similar. Fucking daft idea.

Re: Why is Sting vs. Undertaker a dream match?

This would've been a dream match 5 to 10 years ago, but now unless they have a 2 minute rest period every 5 minutes in the match, I can't picture this match ever taking place. I may be wrong here, but i just can't see this match ever happening now, but if it does, it's going to be very VERY bad. Maybe they can have a Sting look alike? lol

Not keeping it real in the streets

Lodi and Chris Jericho looked like each other. Doesn't mean that's a dream match.

Same with Warrior and Renegade. Ziggler and Billy Gunn, Ahmed and Farooq, Matt and Jeff Hardy, Kevin Nash and the fake Diesel, the list goes on and on. Looking like another wrestler is not grounds for a dream match.

It was never a dream match for me and Undertakers my favorite so I do have dream matches involving him but him vs Sting is not one.

Re: Why is Sting vs. Undertaker a dream match?

Because they are both huge legends who never faced off. Sting has always been a hot prospect for WWE, since even the early 90s. And Taker is argubly the most respected Superstar in WWE history. Their mysterious characters does also add more to the match as well. Ten years ago, this match would have been iconic. Now, it's way too late and I no longer wanna see it.

Re: Why is Sting vs. Undertaker a dream match?

I guess the gimmicks were both pretty dark, and people draw similarities. Also Undertaker is a staple of the WWE, Sting was the same for WCW but they never crossed paths. So people are more intrigued I think. I'm not personally bothered about it at this stage. While it would be cool to see, it would likely end up disappointing a lot of people.

Marking for: John Morrison, Randy Orton, CM Punk, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes and Jack Swagger.

No it fucking doesn't. The marks need to learn that Sting is not a dream opponent for Undertaker. Papa Shango, Damien Damento, Gangrel, and Edge were all mysterious at one point. Does that make them awesome opponents?

Sting is not a legend. He only drew a lot of money when he worked with Flair or Hollywood Hogan. Undertaker only drew well with Austin. Calling Sting and Undertaker legends is lowering the bar way too far.

Taker doesn't need carrying.

They have taken you from the Imperial City's prison, first by carriage, and now by boat. To the east, to Morrowind. Fear not, for I am watchful. You have been chosen.

Re: Why is Sting vs. Undertaker a dream match?

Probably because it's a match people want to see.

As for why they want to see it, who knows. For me, it's because of the legacy each guy has in their respective promotions. Sting worked every top star WCW had. Taker worked every top star WWE had. Lot's of success for both men along the way. It's a "what if" scenario, what would happen if those 2 faced each other. Because, be honest, both are legends. If not for anything else than for the fact of what they've accomplished for the past 23 years.
