Can someone explain the time difference issue?

London can air a live PPV at 7pm. US can watch it live at 2pm but WWE wont do it.
Is there something America does Sunday afternoons that the rest of the world doesn't?
What is the issue of watching a PPV a few hours earlier? Do Americans work Sunday? Just curious that's all.

Football. The NFL drags away a lot of American and Canadian viewers from WWE.

Well during the NFL season we have football. As for the rest of the year who knows.

Re: Can someone explain the time difference issue?

Probably the exact same reason why you want the PPV to start at 7 in the UK

Sunday life for Americans include things like church, family visits, taking care of things around the house, cooking, cleaning, spending time with kids, groceries etc.

Also, prime time television (7:00 - 10:00) has historically proven to have garnered the highest ratings amongst the most demographics (this is a global thing and not just america). And since the American market is much, much, much bigger than the UK (and it's an american company based in the states), the Americans logically and rightfully so get precedence over the rest of the world.

I assume you're kidding and realize that the NFL is way more popular than pro wrestling in the US.

Also, OP, along with the other reasons given, if it's 2pm on the East Coast, then it's 11 in the morning on the West Coast.

And maybe if the WWE Network ever launches and the PPVs come with it and they don't have to worry about buyrates, they might consider doing this.

Re: Can someone explain the time difference issue?

why can't we just do it at a later time like maybe start at 11pm then it would be a 6pm start in america, not too much of a disruption for them and were use to it starting at 1am over here antway so were obviously not gonna mind. if it's something to do with stadium rules about what time their allowed to stay open til i'm sure wwe could sort something out with them like apply for a special one off license where they can stay open later or something.
