Re: Best WWE debut of all time?

Jericho, for the best DEBUT in WWF. That was pretty incredible, not just for the pop, but because of who he was interrupting.

Flair's return in 2001 was pretty awesome, again not just for the crowd, but that awesome promo he had with Vince. "WELL THE CONSORTIUM WAS ME. And now, you and I are kiss stealing, wheeling dealing, son of guns!" AWESOME

THE ROCK: The biggest star and draw of pro-wrestling industry EVER.

1. Holds the record of drawing most arenas with 10,000+ attendance on top in one calendar year. [Broke Hogan's(1986) and Austin's(1998) record in 1999 and set a record of headlining over 100 shows with 10,000 plus people in attendance in year 2000. A box-office drawing record that is unsurpassed till date.]

2. Holds the record of main-eventing almost 17 PPVs that have got over 500k buys. Took the PPV business to heights never before seen in 2000, where no PPV drew less than 400k domestic buys.

3. Drew the highest cable ratings during the AE(real quartely segments not over-run). Took ratings to heights never before seen in 2000.

4. Sold more merchandise than anyone active between mid 1999-2001.

Re: Best WWE debut of all time?

I have to go with Jericho's, even if it is a common answer. That was August '99, but I had been a Jericho fan since he was in ECW in '96. Living in the Northern New Jersey/NY market, I had the MSG Network. Late at night/early Saturday Mornings (like 2-3 AM), they would show the ECW weekly TV show, and that was my first discovery to Jericho. Became a fan of his right away, and followed him when he was in WCW. Loved his crybaby heel character in WCW. But I (and many others on the internet) in '98 wanted to see him go to the WWF. I'll never forget the debut and the insane pop he got when his name popped up on the Titantron. One of the best pops ever.

Between Kane or Y2J. Cannot decide. I'll just say the Rock since it's now been 17 years since he made his debut

Always enjoyed Goldbergs debut. At that time i had no idea what the ICW was so didn't know anything about him being in the WWE.

But Jericho probably had the best debut.

Takers debut was scary. Such an impact with just one match.

Jerichos promo and the fans reaction still gives me goosebumps.

"How about a little heel turn."
