Re: Tell The Truth
Could be anywhere woolcock, theres a million bars around there. If youre ever in town again have a look for The International bar, its also around the corner from trinity, great little pub, good trad session on sundays, locals are all hilarious reprobates and the upstairs comedy club is where every irish comedian of note started out.
edit- oh and of course the Long Hall too, its BRUCE's local when he's in town

At its best that's what this thread has always been. But people just think I ramble about random shit at this point, so I feel the need to at least point out that my drivel had a point to it. It wasn't just drivel for the sake of drivel and all that.

I don't mind the hangover if I don't have to actually do anything while I'm putting up with it. If I know I have to do something productive or something that'll require effort, or basically anything that doesn't involve lying on my cold kitchen floor in a puddle of spit, then I'll usually skip the boozing (I could go out and not drink, but why would I want to do that while everybody else is getting wrecked and acting like numpties?). Like, there's people from work going into Glasgow tonight for one of the younger guys' birthday, and I said I'd maybe go and not get hammered, but I know how I am and I know for an absolute fucking fact that I'd get hammered. And I'm not getting hammered in Glasgow just to try and find some way of getting 30 miles back home only to get up at 6am for work tomorrow. Fuck that noise. I'll stay home and watch Bravo or some shit (is Bravo even still a thing? I barely watch Sky at all at this point, even though the cunts will still charge me sixty-odd quid a month). Although, I won't lie, if the chick from work that makes my cock sing was going, I'd have at least considered it.

Will be sure to make a note of that. Aye I gathered trying to describe a bar in Dublin would be pretty hard on account of the volume of water holes there were. Lovely city tbhayley. Even if we wasted one hour trying to find the Guinness factory.

You've reminded me of 'The Long Good Friday' starring Bob Hoskins. Give it a watch in future if you haven't already. Classic british gangster flick and Bob is amazing in it.

Reminds me of a great Hank quote: " I don’t just say shit. I mean, I do talk a lot of shit, but I generally mean what I say and I say what I mean."
I'm not sure if Bravo is still going actually. Sure it got given a new name a while back. I only ever watched it to see Danny Dyer continue the charade of being a hard man interviewing other hard men whilst making continous references to things getting 'pwopa nawty' and boiling over.

I've said this several times in regular conversation. Once was to one of my bosses. Can't go wrong with it.

Re: Tell The Truth
@woolcock - ive still never been to the Guinness brewery though I hear great things about the skybar there, I did once go on a trip to the Bushmills distillery up north, a trip that resulted in me never drinking more than one whiskey in public ever again, long story
@andy - I find it best to avoid any work social stuff unless you happen to work with equally debaucherous nihilistic fucks in order to maintain an air of civility.
I went to a christmas work do in about 2003, some dry shite senior manager was trying to eat his turkey ham dinner with me dancing on his table with triple vodka /barcadi breezers in each hand, I must have stood in his dinner a few times, I didnt attend another work do til 2010
