I had problems in second year of uni coasting a bit and making a habit of staying up throughout the night if I had afternoon lectures only the next day. There was a pretty bleak spell in third year when I discovered Mad Men, Breaking Bad and Parks & Recreation where I'd probably be up till 3am watching the last episode before I absolutely had to quit if I had any hope of making my morning lectures without running like Usain Bolt in the process.
Only ever time I had to go a night without sleep was when my mate roped me into going to a 24 hour computer room to assist my mate who was the worst/best (depending on perspective) procrastinator I've met and who'd somehow left himself 5 projects to complete in one night. I say I assisted, I just watched TV on the computer all night whilst once in a while slapping him when he started to nod off.
He's still in uni and has left himself a 10,000 Dissertation on top of 5 hard modules in his final semester. Unlike anyone with common sense who took the hard modules in September-December to leave only the Dissertation in the final semester, he thought it would be wise to have sod all to do for the first 3 months and then blag the final semester. Gormless idiot.
