Re: Tell The Truth
Last time I saw an Angle topic people were using his olympic gold medal as proof of his credentials. People can't seem to understand no-one is critiquing Angle as a legit 'wrestler', but more showing proof he came into the business untrained and unfamiliar to how to build, structure and time a match, how to throw worked punches/kicks that looked good but which were safe, how to work matches depending on time and card position etc. Bothers me that people try to make out him starting out in the business is no different than an MMA fighter adjusting to wrestling. Sure they could work a technical wrestling gimmick, but they'd still have to be told how to sell enough to look vulnerable without sacrificing their tough image as well as how to time and space out their holds and submissions to draw a reaction.
'Worker' and 'wrestler' are two different terms and its this which proves a stumbling block for most.
I also hate how when it comes to Angle 95% of the time if you make a well reasoned post it still gets laughed at. Disagree with my opinion all you want, but when I explicitly post critiques I have, either counter them or accept the things that bother me don't bother you. Ehhh, seeing Ownage make the best post in the 'Bryan is the most overrated' thread about the things he did better than Angle and have some moron call it a load of shit when it was reasonable and subjective was asinine.
