. Thanks, I kept seeing him brought up in the music thread and most seemed to place him in an upper echelon of song writers such as Springsteen, Dylan & Van Morrison. I've heard 'Hey Hey My My' and absolutely love the song, be interesting to see how I react to the rest of his work.

Not a clue, he's a dopey knob a lot of the time. Sound lad but I honestly do think he was repeatedly dropped on his head as a child because he's the most bizarre personality with almost no sense of idea how his behaviour comes to strangers (bellowing songs and trying to mimick a fight down the high street being two examples).
Also has some of the worst taste in music/tv and without being harsh comes off as someone who just likes what is most successful. He tries to get a reaction out of me all the time with comments about musicians/bands I enjoy and just seems to enjoy the most generic and friendly rock music and hates anything with a bit of edge/soul. When his best reasoning for not liking Ian Brown (a guy I enjoy whilst freely admitting to his limitations and frequent cuntish attitude) is because of his drug and booze history I lose interest.
It was probably done in good humour though, since the other two in the picture are good friends.
