Judging by that Lost comment you'll love one of the lines in a Community Christmas Episode. One of my personal favourite zingers from one Abed Nadir.
That sorta thing happens all the time now where the narrative leads you to believe one thing, only to throw you for a loop with a completely different outcome. Since were on a Wrestling Forum, i'll use this example; Paul E. once admitted to a major flaw in the original ECW, the fact that they had a surprise every week watered down it's effect. If you expect a surprise, is it really a surprise? I'd love to see more stories unfold where I can foretell the outcome through logical thinking, without it being TOO predictable.
As far as Lost go, that is the show that made me hate following weekly serials. Fuck was I ever hooked on the first 3 seasons, had to watch that shit religiously (double entendre for ya), then they threw in the major plot twist that killed me inside. They had the perfect setup to make things brilliant, but their loss of key writers and desperate attempt at saving the ratings turned the show into an incoherent mess. I didn't even bother with the last 2 seasons, and hearing about the finale, i'm glad that I redeemed myself. lol
