Well look at it this way, the buildup for Wrestlemania 24 was nothing to write home about, and yet the show delivered.
Punk and Taker is going to be solid, Punk will do everything it takes to carry Taker to a great match by accentuating on what can work given Taker's health. Punk sure as hell isn't beating the streak, but it could potentially steal the show if there isn't too many shenanigans involved (i'm in the minority that thought last year's HIAC wasn't anything great). You know that Punk will be driven to give a
star performance, even if realistically we should be expecting
I can go on all day about HHH/Lesnar since I feel that the match is doing Lesnar no favors whatseover. My guess is that HHH wins to set up a rubber match, and that sucks since it's the worse way for WWE to capitalise on their investment if they're not going to bother putting Lesnar over as an unstoppable monster. The match itself should be better than Summerslam, not only for the NHB stipulation, but for both man's egos to overdo the mess of their first match. The crowd will help it too (hopefully)
As for Cena and Rock, you know exactly how I feel about that since weve exhausted the topic, but Cena revealing himself as the Shield's leader will make up for the match being lackluster, that alone will get people talking. Cena IS turning heel, but the Shield dynamic remains to be seen. I'm still convinced though.
Ryback vs Henry - Could be ok if it doesn't go over the 15 minute mark. The Shellshock will be a fun moment.
The Tag match is interesting, I think Ziggler may be cashing in, but hopefully he'll try to outdo himself in his scheduled match for the time that he's afforded.
Fandango vs Jericho - Eh.
Del Rio vs Swagger - I don't know why anyone should give two fucks about this match on paper, especially since they failed to capitalize on the media attention they were getting out of that angle. Technically, both guys should be able to put on a good match, the chemistry is still untested.
6 man tag will probably be rushed, inevitably keeping the Shield for the Main Event surprise. I don't think this one will end with a definitive win.
So yeah, the card has potential. There's more matches than last year so hopefully the upper echelon matches won't be cut short due to time restraints.
