I've been guilty of those assumptions :O At this uni I was at, I lived on campus and in one of the villas were these 4 goth blokes, with the leather jackets, the studded wristbands, dog collars, nail polish, the works. I was legit creeped out by them, did all I could to avoid them at parties and bar nights, but in 2nd year I was living in the villa next to theirs, they invited me and my villamate over for a drink one night, and fuck me, 4 of the finest blokes I've ever met - epic banter on sports, knew some grand drinking games, and played some fine tunes.

I couldn't fathom wearing uniforms and they were actually considering it. Never did thankfully.

That fear of "goths" shit started with Columbine despite the fact the shooters weren't "goth". Ever since that event and others, the media has been treating them like monsters. Like sXe said, they're cool people. Though I won't lie, there's some fucked up people that take the macabre too seriously.

I was in a catholic school, so uniform for me. Certain days we could wear are own clothes, and damn people literally went shopping for those days. And then they started cutting down those days because girls were wearing some of the skimpiest outfits to school.

It's just for me, the robbing of one's identity. I'm not this "I have to be different" nor the "I ain't falling in line" people, but you're telling me I have to be a certain way in order to succeed, at least IMO.

About the hair thing, I actually do not mind if a maiden has hair "there", as long as I can see what's what and I'm not thinking about scissors it's fine.

I liked the maiden call. I need to use it more considering where a lot of my interests lie. I'm too busy having a mind set in Sin City and calling every women I see/meet/discuss a "dame".
