I've never played in a fantasy league before so I have a stupid question.

Now that gameweek 1 is over, I try to change my team with transfers. I was able to switch Caulker for Mertasacker, but when I try to change anyone else there is a point deduction that takes place...Am I only allowed to switch one player without point deductions? Can someone explain please.

yeah, you get one wildcard where you can make as many transfers in that gameweek as possible but aside from that1 transfer per week unless you want -4 for each additional transfer. I'm making 2 this week, mata for hazard and kun for tevez. Just hoping Mata doesn;t explode vs Reading and make me regret it

Yes, only one free transfer per game week. You do have a Wildcard, which when you play it means you can change your whole team if you want without a points deduction. You used to only get one wildcard per season, though I think they changed it so you have two now, unless you don't use the first one by the midway point.

Obviously, the more transfers you make, the larger the points deduction. I think making two transfers will dock 4 points, so it can sometimes be worthwhile if the extra player you want out is injured and you can switch him with someone who will likely make those points back for you.

Also, quick question to everybody, I was under the impression that Chelsea had the extra midweek fixture this game week because they had the Super Cup bizniz on Friday, but the Fantasy fixture list for the next game week still says they are due to play Newcastle on the Saturday at 5.30.

Even the BBC website says Chelsea v Newcastle for 5.30 on Sat 25th.

Is it not this Friday but another one they have the Super Cup wotsit?

Super Cup is next Friday not this Friday so Chelsea play their weekend fixture for next weekend on Wednesday and is included as part of Gameweek 1, meaning Chelsea and Reading have no match on Gameweek 3.
