I've been waiting for Moss to decline, to fall off a cliff, but he's still pretty damn consistent. In any case, as I said, the TE's are my concern, I'm fine with the WR exchange. As to Davis, he's still the 1st look at the TE position, in short yardage, down at the goal line. Hernandez, versatility be dammed, is not.
THAT'S my main deal, I don't want to trade a #1 Target for a guy that's going to shine intermittently based on what Gronk leaves lying around.

Re: General Fantasy Sports Thread
Hernandez was the number 3 TE last year and he missed 2 games. He had 11 fewer receptions than Gronk. Hernandez even had 61 rushing yards in the Denver post season game. It really isn't number one and number two in New England. It's more two number one TEs. Hernandez had 24 red zone targets and Gronk had 26. Inside the 5, Hernandez had 4 TDs and Gronk had 2.
Plus, Tom Brady is the QB. RG3 is a rookie, and besides Cam, rookie passing TD numbers are pretty low.

The impact player is Gronk. The primary target is Gronk. The edge in athleticism goes to Gronk. Fred Davis, in addition to being a damn good TE, shares the spotlight with no one at that position, he's arguably ranked higher than all the WRs as well aside from Garcon & possibly Moss depending on the position.
As to the QB, I think RGIII is going to put up some impressive numbers & if he does struggle, it just feeds into Davis. TEs are every rookie QBs best friend, safety blankets in a jersey.
As I said, it's close.

Re: General Fantasy Sports Thread
Well, it's your choice. I'd still take it no questions asked. Let's just hope Fred Davis doesn't get caught with another failed drug test and suspended for four or more games again.

Re: General Fantasy Sports Thread
Ugh. It'd be better if I could goad Vernon Davis out of him, but he ain't budging on that.

Re: General Fantasy Sports Thread
I've never been in a large league before, so I decided to join a 20-man league. Draft is at 12:45. Will post results after. I'm interested to see how it turns out.

Re: General Fantasy Sports Thread
Since everyone's roster will suck that could actually be interesting. I'm sure at some point I'll give a huge league like that a shot.

Re: General Fantasy Sports Thread
Alright, here it is. I went on autopick in the 11th round, because the draft was moving at a terrible pace.
QB - Matt Ryan
RB - Chris Johnson
RB - Darren McFadden
WR - Torrey Smith
WR - Denarius Moore
TE - Brent Celek
FLEX - Ahmad Bradshaw
D/ST - Atlanta
K - Mike Nugent
BN - Kenny Britt (WR)
BN - Tim Hightower (RB)
BN - Andre Caldwell (WR)
BN - Doug Baldwin (WR)
BN - Davone Bess (WR)
BN - David Nelson (WR)
BN - John Kuhn (RB)
Dem autopicked WRs.

Re: General Fantasy Sports Thread
I like the main roster, but that autopick bench is quite bad. Looks good for a 20 team draft overall, better than some people's 12 team draft .

Re: General Fantasy Sports Thread
Except for TE (not saying Celek is worthless really) that's a good starting roster. Pray no one gets hurt though lol. I assume everyone's bench is FUBAR in a 20 team league though.
