yeah, but I take you do those with friends, right? Everyone is probably also always active. that may not be the case here and you can expect some idiotic things(like the trades that happened last year).

Yeah I don't doubt that really UDFK, it wouldn't surprise me. I'm just saying where these rules come from and why I don't consider situations like this.

We can always say that anyone drafted must keep their draft position the following year but I think people should be rewarded for taking on guys that others may have given up on. Like a Tim Tebow last year or whoever else.

Players keep their draft status regardless of being dropped. Ex: If a 6th rounder is dropped, he still counts as a 6th rounder. We'll have the draft list and it won't be hard to reference. Players undrafted count as a 16th round pick.

That's about as simple as it gets.

I wish EFC Bronco would DRAFT so we can talk about other things like how fucking awesome CJ is going to be this year.

Owners should be rewarded for giving players a chance that others dropped.

It's not really like that though. If a 7th rounder is dropped he might be a mediocre at best 7th rounder. Now he's a 15th rounder and his value changes considerably.

I wish Stacks would come on and draft so I can stop playing NCAA 13 and soon figure out what player I'm going to pick. The Longhorns can only win the BCS Championship so many times before it gets redundant.

Also, I think JM's ruling is fine with the players dropped after the fifth round. Plus we do have free agency cash, so everyone does have a shot at said player in theory.

@JM: No, I get that. I just don't see why someone should get doubly rewarded for being lucky.

On the other hand, I don't really care either way. Still, keeping players' draft status static is simplest way to do it.

Well it's not really my ruling, I'm just giving my opinion on what I think works best. If I had my way people would just know not to drop players that shouldn't be 15 RD VRs.

And for the record, what no one is considering here. ESPN does have a can't cut list of which top talent will be on.
