Fuck should've told me Cabby was on the Market. I would've gave you a heavily 1 sided offer to you to help you out this year and in the future.

It's not that bad of a trade. Cabrera and Weaver are both ranked comparably but like always, my thing is, you never give up a top five bat for a top five starting pitcher. The value just isn't there.

Average rank of Cabrera/Kuroda/Swisher - 101.3
Average rank of Weaver/Bruce/Cuddyer/Headley - 72.5
It's a good deal, man. He needed more keepers, and he got 'em. There was a prior deal discussed where he get both Bruce and Melky, but he wanted a SP, so I swapped one of them out for Weaver.
Also, he was going to drop Swisher, so I just told him to add him to the deal.

? > Cabrera. Answer: Like two hitters maybe.
Plus Cabrera is at 3B now and that increases his worth since 3B is so short on good hitters unlike 1B.
Weaver makes it just ok in my book. No way was I insinuating that it should be vetoed.

Adding people to the deal for the sake of it is silly in this league because it's waiver auction. If you want him to do that you should be giving a $1.
Besides that, the deal is fine, as far as I'm concerned.

I guess you're right, JM. You can take a dollar from me and give it to him.
I was honestly expecting a more hostile reception to the deal, but everything went better than expected.

Well, GA has yet to respond so we'll see how that goes...
And are you playing for next year? Where is your pitching?

re: WF Baseball Keeper League - Draft = Wed, Mar 6 @ 10pm CT. Lock keepers ASAP.
Eh, not really. I figured with me getting Berkman/Howard/Kemp back healthy and Longoria on the way, I'll have a dominant offense (hopefully). I was going to need to get rid of some guys anyway, so I thought I might as well upgrade my keeper options. As for pitching, I'm just hoping my waiver-wire additions can continue to play well and McCarthy comes back and continues his great performances. It'd be nice if Lester could revert to being the old Lester, as well. I have confidence in Gio and Vogelsong holding down the fort.

WWF give me Cabrera. You don't need him.

re: WF Baseball Keeper League - Draft = Wed, Mar 6 @ 10pm CT. Lock keepers ASAP.
We both know that price would be STEEP. But no, I did it mainly to get the best keeper hitters that I could (which I obviously do now) and there's no way that I could upgrade that anymore. I could upgrade my pitching pretty well by dealing with you, but I don't think I'll do that. It's much easier to find starting pitching on the wire than it is hitting.
