I think BBM is a great tool. You can potentially win a lot of money using it in money leagues with friends or whatever. I used it last year in the WS league and got all the way to the finals before losing due to injuries. I also used it here to setup my draft strategy and whatnot, but got beat out on a couple of guys by JM because he's also using it, and he had more picks in the first few rounds than me. Missed out on Jeff Teague, Kawhi Leonard and Landry Fields.
With that said: I will not be using it any further in this league or in my other leagues. It's completely unnessesary and unfair to be using it in a league where Glen Davis is a top 5 pick in the non-keeper draft. JM was also using BBM in the baseball league and I have a sneaking suspicion that's why he won that one too (also EDWIN).
I'd be a hypocrite to call him a cheater (I'll leave that to Brandon), but I certainly won't be giving him any praise for being a "good fantasy player" if he continues to use it in this league or in future leagues (fantasy football, baseball, etc).

I can understand Kawhi since I had him on my team last year and I wish I would've been able to keep him and to an extent I can understand Jeff Teague, but what's so special about Landry Fields? He's a mediocre shooter, not really a good scorer, I'll give him that he's a good passer and one of the best rebounding wings in the NBA though.

Re: Fantasy Basketball - **WF Keeper League** - Off-season mode
For the record, I only use basketball monster for free features, mainly trade analysis. Full yearly projections and all that jazz costs money and I can find more than suitable free resources on the web for draft prep/research. Anyone can do this.
There is no possible way to cheat in fantasy basketball. Draft strategy only gets you so far. They have to perform and nothing ever pans out the way things are projected. Waiver wire changes things. Injuries. Flat out way off projections. Things can go downhill at any time.
The best strategy anyone can have is to not follow ESPN projections.

Also, any algorithm that values players by stat contributions will tell you the same thing. My strategies are simple. If a guy doesn't average a steal, block or 3 a game they aren't worth having and if they do 2 or 3 of these then you definitely want them. Beyond that, every player must make strong contributions to at least one of points, assists or rebounds. Nothing mediocre there of.

Landry Fields was my last round selection.

Sure, but the discrepancy between your team and everyone elses is just ridiculous. Like, not even close. Why would a team like Brye or Champ even bother trying this year?

Re: Fantasy Basketball - **WF Keeper League** - Off-season mode
A lot can change over the course of 23 weeks. I don't doubt I'm the favourite. Will I win? Not necessarily. I don't want to be smug about it or deny it. I've been doing this a long time. Have I won money playing fantasy sports? Ya. Have I won a lot? No. I just play with friends for money and I don't really want to win a crap load of money from a friend and the same goes for them. That being said, people I play with pay money for draft cheatsheets and what not. Do I much care? No. It is what is is. I more or less think they're silly because I can get similar stuff for free as can anyone else using a simple google search.
People ask others advice in this league. I think that's great. These leagues are for nothing other than fun so why not use these leagues to gain knowledge that allows you to play better in other leagues.

Like the end of last year, to knock someone out of the playoffs Sadly, it also got Magic in
Maybe a terrorist attack during a Celtics Heat match up kills Wade, Lebron, and KG, then we got a chance.

I'm just not going to be a fan of the whole "my team is so great and I'm better at fantasy than you" spiel all year when you and I were the only people using the GOAT cheat sheet.
But maybe I'm just butthurt that I got undercut on Teague when I had planned on drafting him 3-4 rounds early anyway. Hell I had planned on grabbing Leonard with like my 3rd pick b/c you said he was a sleeper before the draft so I knew you were after him.
Our entire pre-draft chat was me just trying to get an idea of who you were after. Trying to feel you out cuz I knew you were my only threat. And you were spot on.

If I had Big Baby, yeah. You SHOULD at least open up trade negations with me, regarding Bynum.
