Jose Abreu hits about 1 home run every 17.5 At-Bats in his career. We shall round that up to 18 At-Bats for this year, so going off of this data so far....Jose has 24 At-Bats this year with 2 Home Runs...1 per 12 At Bats, but this could just be an outlier, so we will go with 1 every 18 at bats. So, Abreu Bomb Alert System has been activated in Tampa Bay until April 17th, 2016, 11:59PM. This is when he will be at his 18th at bat, starting at 24 current At-Bats (assuming he gets to bat 4 times a game).
Is there a proper system in place where you can notify all of the league members of an impending Abreu Bomb, even if you were able to predict one? I mean, I'm in Canada, but surely I could be affected by the potential blast radius or fallout, especially with the winds moving east over Lake Michigan right in my direction.
Perhaps you can develop a Doppler-type system to track pitching patterns as well as Abreu's swing statistics in order to ascertain a greater probability of impending Abreu Bombs.
I guess what I'm trying to say, for lack of better words, the current system is kinda shit.
To be fair @ABAS, when it comes to tornadoes and severe weather, we are put on a watch and then a warning if the CHANCE of either happening intensifies. Why was there no Abreu watch or warning?
We get to keep up to any 3 hitters and any 2 pitchers. Those will count for your round 1-5 picks. We draft as normal via ESPN staring with the 6th round. JM will randomize the draft order. I think he does a weighted lottery though.
If you keep less than the maximum then you get a draft pick pack. These picks are before the 6th round.
Draft picks are also able to be traded in this league.
I'll pass on joining. You guys can do much better than me. I'm not nearly as active as I used to be unfortunately. Someone else will participate more than I would, tbf.

Saying Pollock is a top 10 hitter is bad, but that's the only bad thing about this trade.
Pollock is good. He's not a .300 hitter (though he could hit .300 this season if he's lucky), but he's a source of speed that gives stuff other than just runs and avg. Pollock can conceivably push for 20 HR while stealing 30+.
20 HR and 30 SB is amazing
What ZOMBO gave up wasn't really that much. ARod is (edit) an average 3B. Robertson is good, but so is Pollock.
ZOMBO traded a surplus for a need. The trade makes perfect sense.
I don't know anymore. I'm just dreaming of the ultimate Jon, Joe, and Josh lineup. I found I have a lot of Joes and Joshes. I wept when I cut Gallo. The dream died before it could begin.
