did you watch it(the whole ppv) what did you pick as motn?
i picked roman because it was a good match- show turned "you need to retire" chants into you still got it. roman has a good chemistry, they kept asking for tables and he kept giving it to them. the crowd was into him and it could be the start of him getting over.
It wasn't motn imo. That was the tag team match. There was nothing special about the match, it had some nice spots, but at no point was I convinced Big Show would win. On top of that, the finish was dumb. It should've just ended with him spearing Big Show through the announce table.
It had such low expectations, I think people were just surprised that it wasn't awful. If any other two wresters were to do the exact same match, move for move, spot for spot, it would just have been seen as a "decent" match. Second best match of the night though, but that does have a lot to do with other matches being bad.
Tag match was MotN. Already watched it twice. Everyone, Even Natalya was good in that match. Good storytelling as well as some nice spots.
I love how hard some people are trying to spin the fact that two guys they don't like had a good match. "Well it wasn't ACTUALLY good, even though a bunch of people are calling it good and the crowd liked it, because well it's just not possible look who was in it!!"
Casual crowds are also against Show. It would be a hell lot more smart to put Reigns against a more agile/smaller/faster opponent who gets heat, rather than continue this torture against Show.
There is nothing smart in this match up. Especially when you give them 20 minutes, "good chemistry" or not. No one looks good in this.
Haven't seen it yet. I'm glad to hear people enjoyed it.
The best way to repair Roman is for him to have good matches and compelling story lines. It might also help if he doesn't say dickish things in radio interviews.
Reigns vs Show was the only match I missed watching live, had an appointment to go to. Just watched it now and was pleasantly surprised. Reigns performs so much better when the crowd isn't shitting on him.
Only thing I would change is Reigns pinning Show under the table. Reigns would have looked so much stronger just taking out Big Show with the giant spear through the announce table.
The only real criticism of the LMS match that I have is that it might have been better being a few minutes shorter. Just a little bit less dead time, little less time setting up spots and having the match end with the Spear through the table and cut out Reigns flipping the table over. It wasn't a great match but it was still a really good match. I don't think that these two could really do much better together than what we got.
It was good, but not great. It would have been great if it was good through out the entire match. The beginning was slow and bad, mostly cause you have two garbage wrestlers in the ring. Good thing there were alot of table spots to make it not boring near the end.
The spots are made made it good. If it was a "vanilla midget" like the anti smark crowd calls them, they would call the person a spot monkey, but since it's Reigns, they're jizzing over it.
I was expecting reigns to get Shít on but not winning the title at Mania has done him the world of good, he got a decent reaction from a crowd that's usually full of smarks so good on him. He's also improving all the time and he doesn't get that gassed anymore. I think the fans are starting to appreciate him now.
Reigns/Show was good. Not Great, but it was fun. I thought the finish was a little hokey though. Mainly because Big Show knelt down and watched Reigns do what he did... lol
It was a great match. Although, no other math was given the same amount of time, weapons to use, and destruction. Ambrose v Haprer was limited to chairs and backstage fights. Rusev v Cena was stuck with a chain gimmick, which was still very good. And then the cage match never should have happened, locking the two in a cage hurts both their styles. Every other "extreme" match was normal.
