3 out 10... and that is only for Neville winning and that tag match being actual and true quality. The rest of the card was filled with lack luster matches and shit booking.
I was rolling with a 7.5 out of 10 till that main event and the announcement of the pending end of Rusev's career which pretty well dropped it to a 3-10.
A six out of ten is about right. The undercard was very solid and fun. Big Show vs Roman managed to not be god awful lol Main event was meh to me though. So a little above average??
I give it a 1. No suspense, nothing surprising or exciting. Everything I thought would happen happened and there was no need to watch. It really might stop me from watching the main WWE shows, just so boring to me. Maybe I'll come back for Money in the Bank, that's usually fun.
I'll give it a 4/10. It wasn't the worst PPV I've seen but nothing special happened here. Programming is just stale now though. They really need to take a look and rework the roster.
Harper/Ambrose - 7/10 - no tables? really?
Ziggler(or as JBL says 'Zigger')/Sheamus - 8/10 - MOTN
Cesaro and Kidd/New Day - 7/10 - NEW DAY!
Cena/Rusev - 6.5/10 - Was what it was
Nikki/Naomi - 6/10 - Glowing shoes
Reigns/Show - 7.5/10 - Entertaining ..... but too many tables
Rollins/Orton - 7.5/10 - Dragged but good ending
Also, apparently Ambrose and Harper went on for 56:10. :lmao
*** - Bad News Barrett vs. Neville
***1/4 - Chicago Street Fight: Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper
**1/4 - "Kiss Me Arse" match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus
***1/2 - WWE Tag Team Championship: New Day vs. Kidd & Cesaro (c)
**1/2 - United States Championship: John Cena(c) vs. Rusev
*3/4 - Divas Championship: Nikki Bella(c) vs. Naomi
***1/2 - Last Man Standing match: Roman Reigns vs. Big Show
**3/4 - Steel Cage match: Seth Rollins(c) vs. Randy Orton
I forgot about Ziggler v Sheamus. I enjoyed that too. Sheamus might be my favorite main roster performer after Daniel Bryan right now. Dude is killing it as a heel.
- Ambrose vs Harper was fun, very unorthodox, but the finish was kind of weak.
- Ziggler vs Sheamus was a great match, minus the awful crap post-finish
- The tag-team match was awesome. MOTN.
- Cena can have really good matches when he wants to, but tonight was not the case. It was awful.
- I saw too little of the divas match to comment : couldn't give a flying fuck about The Bellas and Naomi.
- Reigns vs Big Show was better than expected. Still pretty bad and mostly horribly boring, but at least entertaining on some parts, thanks to the spotfest, gotta give them that.
- Bo/Ryback almost had me thinking I was watching RAW. Pointless.
- The ME was... underwhelming to say the least. Incredibly overbooked, but that was to be expected anyway. Though, I got to say that even during the "normal" parts, the wrestling wasn't even that good. Pace didn't pick up, and when it was about to, the overbooking began. The RKO finish has me hoping they're still thinking of a new finisher for Rollins though, and that's great.
I'd give it a 6,5/10 overall. The first hour was ace, but the main event really wasn't good, and that's definately gotta have a big impact on my appreciation of the show.
All of the matches are recycled from RAW or previous PPVs. So it really doesn't matter how they turned out. It was still a god awful card and a god awful show. Look at the smoke and mirrors they have to go through just to make Roman vs. Big Show watchable.
Here's the sad fact of today's WWE: the tag match and the Neville match weren't ground breakingly great, but they are the reason people are saying ER was anything other than boring/awful. They were just great in comparison to the rest of the card, and better than anyone expected of them. In other words, the audience expecting crap is the norm now, and anything above average is going to be rated higher than it normally should simply because we're used to expecting said crap.
Don't fully agree since I think that tag match was a legit good to great match, but pretty much. I see so many 7 or aboves thrown out for these PPVs and **** ratings for mediocre matches that it just makes me wonder if some people only watch today's WWE and haven't seen true greatness.
