It was just a joke.
I don't think it had to do with his race anyway. If Estrada lost the match, he wouldn't get a contract and would be unemployed, and since unemployment numbers are so high... I thought that's what Striker meant.

I didn't find it offensive. mainly because im not hispanic...Im not racist, but i think the old double standard comes into play here, as anywhere, if Estrada, Mark Henry, Funaki, or anybody else would say anything "offensive" to caucasians it would and does usually get championed...however the second a caucasian male makes an "offensive" comment about any other "race" of people it's the most horrible thing in the world...ever think maybe if people would stop letting it bother them, it would subside, or not be so offensive....it's a friggin joke, get over it.

Striker's a heel. The point is that he should be offensive in some way, otherwise people would like him. It's like JBL's use of racist stereotypes, except this time Striker was on commentary. Just because he was sat behind a table, that doesn't make him less of a heel. If he'd said it in the ring, nobody would ever have questioned it because they'd know he was just trying to draw heat. If he's on commentary, that doesn't suddenly make it more reflective of the WWE's views as a company or anything.

If I had heard it live I probably wold have laughed. I would only be offended if I was one of the people that waited outside stores.
Plus they stand outside of Seven-Eleven, not Home Depot
