Rock Bottom

Im not too pleased with how the draft went down for ECW tonight, I mean I know Vince couldn't care less about the brand but give me a break, first they lose the most over guy on the show (Punk) who not forgetting was the MITB winner, then to top it off when it couldn't get any worse, they lose their own ECW Champion, Kane.

All that just to end up receiving Matt Hardy and the United States Championship? Thats really disappointing and low on WWE's part, as ECW was literally the only brand of all three that needed the most shaking up tonight.

I'm really hoping that Show can win the ECW Championship at NOC this weekend and will then some how get shipped to ECW (Via supplementary draft if there is one? Or via trade?) which would make things better.


What are your thoughts on the matter?

ECW didn't need this draft as much as Raw and Smackdown needed to freshen up. Smackdown is about the young up and coming guys so guys moving up the main roster will go to ECW. Also if the sup draft happens I'm sure they'll get some useful picks like Carlito maybe JBL, etc so ECW is perfectly fine they didn't need any shake ups at all only Raw and Smackdown did.

I really hope they can bring in some fresh faces as I love the idea of ECW being a tv developmental.

i agree i hated this draft for ecw. yes it was expected that punk would get drafted, i don't even mind that kane got drafted cause there still can be ways to get the ecw title back to the brand , a big show win then eventual lost to some one on the brand before the talent exchange is over or the addition of a raw talent exchange. but the worst thing for me is the drafting of MATT hardy.

in most fans eyes including mine jeff is the best of the 2 in regards to appeal and he would have fit 100 times better. can you imagine the matches if JEfF was on the brand atleast with jeff there is alway the possibility of the unexpected happening in his matches ( high risk ) but with matt it is always going to be blah jeff could have been renamed the King of Extreme

who says theres a supplemental draft, there was no promotion on TV unlike last year and i dont see them doing it later with a PPV to build for, ECW will be taping with raw soon so they really dont lose their champion or punk but they do gain the US title.

Who cares if ECW didn't get anyone and lost their top guys. ECW is a developmental territory. This means new guys go to ECW, they develop and get sent to Raw or Smackdown. Besides for a one hour show, ECW has a lot of in ring talent already. With Punk gone it gives them more room for others.

Although sending Matt to ECW and the ECW title to Raw doesn't make any sense. I think something will happen with these two situations.
