Default Re: Jericho to end up on ECW??

In a perfect world Jericho,Mysterio, Super Crazy, Foley (commentating) <all ECW originals> Jeff Hardy (for his extreme skills) Stevie Richards, The Dudley's (why they were let go i'll never know), and a bunch of the other ECW originals they let go would be on the program and be allowed to do what they did in the original organization. I wouldn't think that much into it since it's just a toy and the manufacturers screw up things all the time.

He held the ECW Television championship not the World Championship but it probably makes no difference to them. I saw a box that said Shawn Michaels made his debut in 1964 which is the year he was born.

Still (and I know it's a little off topic)I think it sucks that WWE has ruined the brand to the point that any time a top star from Raw or Smackdown! is rumored to go there, the idea is laughed at and shot down by many.

He's the top heel on RAW right now.

The report is erroneous unless it's WAY down the road, and even that is a bad idea.

Hell fucking no.

Kane is the perfect vet to have on ECW to get the young guys over, specifically the heels. He can be listed as a former world champion and he's over 300 pounds so he's credible, he's a good worker, but at his age you know he won't be main-eventing anywhere else, so it's not a waste by taking him away from Raw or Smackdown. He's also very over as a face so he's a good opponent for new heels trying to draw heat. He's perfect in his current role, I think.

ECW doesn't need Jericho and Jericho sure as bloody hell doesn't need ECW. Let him run as Raw's top heel.

I would kill someone if Jericho ended up on ECW. A veteran like him needs something better than that. If he's traded, hopefully it would be Smackdown.

Although ECW does have a lot of talented people on their roster. Most of them are starting out, or haven't really been in the company a very long time.

Jericho on ECW? Hmmmmm, that would be interesting. I wouldn't be shocked if they moved him. WWE doesn't seem very high on Jericho, even though he looks to take the top heel spot on RAW, but that could easily be fixed by moving someone else from Smackdown.

I mean, they use ECW as a training ground therefore they need veterans to go against the young up and comers and show them the ropes. Jericho would be a really good fit.

I mean, first they put Angle on ECW. He leaves. Then they go with Benoit to train the youngest and also add some name value. ECW at the moment is left without that standout veteran with credibility as a preformer. And PLEASE don't throw Kane's name into there. Yes, Kane as a name is good for ECW and for young talents making a name off him, kind of...I mean the guy has jobbed to everyone at the moment. The MIZ beat him a few weeks back and no one batted an eye. That aside, for actually getting the young talents over in the ring and helping them learn their craft? He is past his day and there is only so much the new talents can learn off a 7 foot, 300 pound giant.

Personally I feel that Jericho doesn't have much left to do on RAW. He will go against Michaels, and possibly Triple H it would seem. But after a few months of that, what else is there?

Personally what I would do is move Jericho to ECW. Move MVP to RAW to take Jericho's upper mid-card heel spot and see what he can do with it. Move Rey to ECW as well, as a Jericho/Rey feud for the ECW title would be a MUST SEE feud and MUST SEE match. Give WRESTLING credibility to the title instead of monsters fighting over it. Then I would move Jeff Hardy to Smackdown to take Rey's place and CM Punk to RAW to take Jeff's place.

I'd also move Jamie Noble and Dykstra over as they are two very underused talents, especially in Noble's case. And give Dykstra a fresh start possibly with a new sort of attitude of gimmick. I would also move Gregory Helms and possibly Finlay. These are two guy that could easily be replaced on Smackdown but would benefit so much more on ECW, and ECW from them.

Then on ECW you got the likes of Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, Shelton Benjamin, Kane, Finlay, Knox, Chavo, Morrison, Burke, Gregory Helms, Miz, Evan Bourne.

Let Jericho take the ECW title off Kane at SummerSlam and let him RUN with it for MONTHS. Maybe have Jericho **** up with Miz and Morrison. Then have the eventual match with possibly Evan Bourne at next years Wrestlemania for the title. Or a triple threat with Rey Mysterio vs Chris Jericho vs Evan Bourne in a 3 way dance for the ECW Title.

But hey, thats just me.

I really don't think that Chris Jericho is going to be moving to ECW, he has only just turned heel, not to mention he is the top heel on Raw now. I would like to see Jericho on ECW but I don't think we will ever see it happen.

Who, besides Edge?

What, he's a bit of name value. While he's certainly not Angle or Benoit, he's still really over and he's a good worker. And, most of all, his absence from the other brands doesn't hurt them at all.

Um, Jeff Hardy, Kennedy, Batista (if he moves), Cena (if he doesn't move), any other upper mid-card or main event face on Raw...

That sounds very nice, but WWE doesn't have the overall roster depth to pull this off without damaging Raw and Smackdown.

I think having too many big-name vets (for a one-hour show anyway) would actually serve to hurt the younger guys. As it stands now, the younger guys are getting way more TV time than they would if Jericho, Mysterio, Finlay, and Kane were all part of the show. And that's why I like ECW so much right now.

I do agree about the monsters bit, though. The seeming inevitability of Mark Henry becoming ECW's top heel makes me shudder.

Stranger things have happened. He might of turned heel on RAW to establish him as a fully fledged heel again.

Then he gets shipped off to ECW as a brand spanking new heel for the show.

I mean, I wouldn't say he's not going just because he turned heel on RAW and seems to be taking the top heel spot.

Remember Lashley, after months of feuding with Vince for the ECW title finally won it back. Only a few weeks later was then drafted to RAW and his belt taken away from him.

That's the opposite way around, though. Lashley was getting built up to jump over to the A-show, while this would be Jericho taking a big step down.

It was pretty clear that Lashley was going to Raw seeing as he had been appearing on there more than he had on ECW since before Wrestlemania. And then his departure set up the vacant title angle on ECW that would serve to establish a new title picture for the brand and establish CM Punk as the new top face.

They wouldn't have dared to have Lashley lose the title clean to anyone on the ECW roster because they were pushing him to the moon.

I also think that since Jericho hasn't appeared on ECW at all since his return, he won't be moving. Usually in a move that big they make some hints at it, like with Lashley.

I'm not saying Jericho going to ECW is out of the question, I just think that it would be a really bad move for his career, at least at this point. Give him a run at the top of the Raw main event for a while, and then in the few years, near the end of his career, send him to ECW for the vet role.

I completely agree with the Lashley point.

But we are talking about we very different career paths. Lashley was JUST starting out with his push hence the move to RAW made sense.

But with Jericho, he is there now to help talent. I really don't see a World Title reign in Jericho's future on RAW or Smackdown. So for him to go to ECW, yes a step down in his career, but a step up for ECW. I'm sure Vince isn't thinking of ways of how to elevate Jericho more at this point in his career.

But again, I do agree with your points. And Im not completely sold on Jericho going to ECW. I just think it would be an interesting move that would certainly help out with C-Brand.
